Listened to the show, but can’t make out the word “plenty.” This question was actually asked by a gay? interviewer (print only) a couple of years ago overseas and Adam’s reply was “impressive.” But don’t know if that referred to the fact that he was finally asked a question he’d never received before or whether he was commenting on the GB (guess “impressive” is similar to “plenty”).
This is my Sherlock Holmes bit – when Adam came back to Paris, he took Sauli to a famous gay venue where immensely endowed guys were part of the show. Can’t imagine Adam taking Sauli to someplace where he (Adam) was not equally gifted (he is vain – lol).
Apropos of nothing – every time I got pregnant, my husband would bring home – not boxes – but cases of G&P. I was mad for them. Still grab a box occasionally. Funny what one likes to eat at times like that.
Good and Plenty was one of my favorite candies…didn’t know they were still available! Gonna go out tomorrow and score a box. And with every bite I will think of …um …eggplants!

I thought of Monte too. I’ve never thought of Monte of being a good friend anyway. Monte sought out a great singer for his group and chose Adam, but Monte was the one in charge. I think Adam respected him because he was older and more experienced and perhaps of his connection to Madonna. As much as Adam has professed love for Madonna, I can’t believe that Monte only mentioned him to Madonna AFTER Adam was on Rolling Stone, especially since Monte was giving her guitar lessons.
I didn’t think that Monte’s vision complemented Adam’s either, especially with the GlamNation tour. I was a bit disappointed in Longenieu too. Monte’s solo stuff on tour was a bit boring and not enjoyable. I love drums and Longineau was good in the beginning when he would tear into the drums with passion, but along the way, I wasn’t feeling passion from him. It crossed my mind that maybe Monte was part of that. Monte also seemed disapproving of the on-stage play between Adam and Tommy.
It did seem like the relationship was bound to end. Since Adam likes to collaborate in the writing process, I was surprised that he and Monte weren’t writing some songs together for the new album during the down time while on tour, but I was relieved also. Both of them have come a long way since the Citizen Vein days but I think I like Adam’s musical vision better without Monte holding him back.

Ellessay I was away from this blog when the Monte thing happened. It took me some time to piece everything together. I can’t say I will miss Monte and I do wish him well. I was told a long time ago that a friend enters your life for a specific reason. When that reason is fulfilled that person will move on – make room for another with another purpose. Some stay with you for many many years while others only a short time. I feel Monte served his purpose with Citizen Vein and getting Adam’s first tour under his belt. Monte was there because Adam knew him and didn’t have much time to build something from scratch. Now that Adam has had time to learn so much he’s in more need of Kevin and the rest of the crew. People who are more talented and more in tune with Adam. IMO
How funny – when I was pregnant with both my children I craved Good and Plentys. Those have always been my favorite. I go to a movie – I don’t get popcorn – just a big box of G&P.
I sent the Swedish interview, along with the GB photo to some friends. I await their reaction which will be on my computer by morning! They will probably think I’ve gone over the edge.

aww poor Sauli, not fun, and very stressful.Having a husband that has worked for airlines for nearly 32 years I do know a bit about how airlines tick. It is standard practise for airlines to overbook, and from years of study, they know pretty well how many to overbook by. Its surprising how many people don’t show for flights, or book on several flights and then just turn up for one. But if he had a confirmed ticket then he definitely has a case against the airline for food vouchers, hotel accommodation, and most airlines will give some sort of cash or voucher incentive as a sign of goodwill.
now staff travel is even more stressful, on our honeymoon we were actually on the aircraft, with the doors shut and we got offloaded….

Just saw “I’m hard” on Fuse! It’s the second hour #80 song. So cute and he looks amazing. Funny, that lead singer of Cobra Starship Gabe something-or-other is tall, thin, decent looking, sold millions of singles I’m sure…but he just doesn’t have that “it” factor. He hosts the first hour.
Sorry about Sauli but it works like that with every airline. I echo what HK fan said. I worked for USAir for years until 9/11 when they shut down our office. Yes, the airlines HAVE to overbook. Even with non-refundable tickets, the no show factor can be anywhere between 30and 70 percent! People don’t care, don’t call up to cancel, don’t show up. A plane that takes off with empty seats is lost revenue that can never be made up. I always felt so bad for the workers at the airport, for which it was beyond their control. People are MEAN and threatening. Worse today than ever.
I have to admit I do not like licorice of any kind. Black, red, no matter…hate it! But I like good & plenty…the other kind.

hi dcglam…yup, I’m voting although my 24hrs is almost 10pm now! My Iphone is much earlier so that helps. Someone wrote a comment on one of the other sites that said if you delete your browsing history you can vote more than 20. Tried it, but it didn’t work.
LOL… Other than voting, I check into the site every now and then just to see who peeps are voting for. There seems to be many, many votes for Adam — more than for anyone else. The majority of the times that I check in someone has just voted for him. So frustrating!
Hoping that next week will be the week…..

I am loving these photos of Adam without makeup, or very light touches to enhance rather than hide. I like to think that it is because he is in such a good place that he feels proud and happy about who he is and wants to put the “real Adam” out there, as in the CD.
The real truth in the pudding, though, will be when he goes back to ginger and stops coloring his hair. I don’t see that any time soon, but I think it will happen. You heard it first here lol!
I hope it’s true that Adam will be on that Khloe K. radio show from Dallas So many people I know just hate the Kardashians but I have always liked them. I remember their dad from the O.J. trial and will never forget the look on his face when the not guilty verdict was announced.
Khloe is very very smart and sassy. Adam will be able to talk very easily with her.
Am also anxious to see if the Queen concert is true too. Should find out tomorrow afternoon I think.

Wow! Just heard BTIKM on Sirius Channel 2. Have to listen to Sirius because I know our local stations are so far behind. What a joy to hear it get some play. Hard work by everyone pays off.
Ahhh a little disappointed. I didn’t realize I was listening to a repeat of Hit Bound. Oh well I know it will show up on it’s own soon. (fingers crossed, avoiding the black cat under the ladder)
I’ve noted this before, but Adam has been so extraordinarily adamant about “bridges” and “stop talking” that cannot help but think what Monte did was pretty bad. I tend to agree with a poster named “Tess” on MJ’s that it might have screwed up the release of BTIKM (released earlier because of the BFM album drop) and that Monte rationalized that release – maybe encouraged it. Adam’s a loyal guy so if that happened at this crucial sophomore album time can’t blame him in the least if he completely cut Monte off. (Was never a big fan so suits me fine – Longineau, too – he just seemed so out of it – no personality.)
Occasional lurker here. Please can anyone tell me what is behind radio not wanting to play Adam’s song?
Are they afraid of his gayness? I thought radio overcame that fear already when they played his previous hits. At least enough people buying those to multiplat should have told them there is no backlash whatsover if they play Adam.
And I know it is common for artists to have one or two flop singles before one hits, but my worry lies in the way I think radio has been treating Adam however good his song is because BTIKM is a fucking good song to me.
Honestly the situation is making me sad and I hate how this scenario has given the MJs haters enough weapon to hit on Adam and his fans. They are already planning his career obituary!

I agree with you 100% here, but I have no answers. As a matter of fact, I’m taking my worries to another step. When Adam drops his next single, will things be any different? He may release a killer dance tune and still struggle for radio play. Some peeps are saying that BTIKM was not a good choice for the first single. I wonder if it would have made any difference what was selected for this first single. In other words, I’m wondering if it is Adam who is being targeted and not necessarily the song. Even WWFM was a huge radio struggle at first, although it became a nice radio tune that I still hear every now and then. All in all, this gives me hope for his new music even though it may start out very slow. I know that patience is difficult when we want him to succeed so very much.
ETA: I was hoping that things would change on radio now that Adam has a Grammy nomination behind him. Maybe he actually needs to win the freakin’ thing in order to gain radio respect!!!

Exactly my accessment of the situation also. Remember how his uptempo i.e. FYE and IIHY struggled on the radio? His only song that performed relatively well was his mid tempo song of WWFM?
I remember Idol fans saying he was having problems with radio then because they did not want an uptempo song from a white and a gay guy for that matter. Now he released something similar to what people say radio wants of him and he still struggles?
If this song has been released by one of those radio loves like Kelly or Daughtry, it would be flying off the charts. See how much love radio gave to Kelly’s first single – the boring MKIA? They spinned the hell out of that thing until it became a plat hit. See how they have spinned Daughtry’s too despite it not selling?
Adam has everything else going for him except radio. I am unhappy as a fan seeing how I think radio is unjustly discriminating against him since I don’t think those artists radio jump on their bandwagon like the aforementioned even from Idol are more talented than him. I am actually really depressed right now.

WWFM took awhile to climb the charts, and we have Madonna and Whitney, and the annoying Glee, to deal with, be patient my friends! We all wanted BTIKM to bang to Number 1 on the charts and it aint gonna happen, takes time, and Adam said he put it out there just to bridge the gap between Album 1 and Album 2, he does have obstacles in his way so its gonna take time, BUT its gonna happen!
Can I put my two cents in this discussion? I agree with the radio play or lack there of. Understand that Adam knows the lay of the land really well. Some of the largest radio stations are owned by some very conservative people. Check out the every day news headlines now that we are in an election cycle. I don’t speak for anyone but myself. We have been pushing for acceptance for a long time and right now it’s a very strong push back. One state is even working on a “don’t say gay” bill!
Now please don’t get discouraged. Thank God overseas is more accepting because that means he’s making money, making music and he will stay on our radar. I’m just thankful that he has family and friends here in the states and for now we get to keep him. I also know the tide is changing. As much as people are trying to push us down the push up is much stronger. So things will change. They have before and will again. Our job is to support him in every way possible. To let him know we have his back!!
