Oksana…I know about the different browsers. I only have 2 Firefox & IE. Have to try Safari on my iphone. Forgot about the other junk they factor in. How that works, who the hell knows. Radio play is such a big thing. But 3/4 of the videos I saw today are not on the radio that I know of. Yup, Jim Shearer is going to get an earful!

Video did not appear on vh1 countdown at all?!? That’s the worst Adam news I’ve heard in a long time. Call me negative if you wish, but I’ve been concerned for a while now that Adam has lost a big chunk of his fanbase. The video not even charting on the countdown, along with slow download sales and lack of movement on radio may be indications of that.
It’s amazing – half the videos on vh1 countdown you can’t imagine anyone actually voting for.

I really don’t understand how the VH1 countdown works, but voting seems to only be a part and maybe not the most important part. I’m in Europe this weekend with limited Internet access, did vh1 change voting rules or something? Adam had so much success there in the past.

eywflyer…yes the voting process has changed. You can only vote once every 24 hours…20 votes per browser. I guess it is a little fairer. But the other things come into play like Oksana said. Radio play, sales, etc. But no one knows what part each plays and of course which is the most important part.
I know that there is so much information on line that is not right, true, correct… With that in mind I just saw this…

Yay, that makes total sense to me. I had been wondering if they were holding off having it on the countdown since they just interviewed Adam this past week. I’ll bet they plan to have a chit-chat with him (recorded last week) when they premier the video–maybe next week?

Kradamour Yesterday I went to dig out my juicer – buried so far back on the shelf. Dusted it off, fired it up for a test drive and it was hopeless. It died. So now on to research a new one.

I just came in from my car where I sat outside and listened to this for 45 minutes after I just happened to pick it up while driving. It’s cold and rainy here in Mississippi, but the windows were all fogged up from the Adam heat. I loved it when he introduced and explained BTIKM. Funny thing; when he introduced it, it made me take a listen with different “ears”. Still loving it.
ETA: If he continues this, I may just have to buy the home unit for XM/Sirius.

Ceddies I live in an area where there aren’t many people (rural if you will) and I got the home unit because I learn more about what’s going on from the channels I get with Sirius. I play it all day. If I relied on my local radio – well let’s just say it’s like the dark ages!
There wasn’t really much of a brouhaha. The original article, if I’m even remembering correctly, was just about one of Adam’s recent interviews, and one of the topics of the interview was his album delay. Someone then sniped that it was understandable that they were delaying the album because his single tanked out of the gate. It was also suggested (either in that snippy post or another one, I’m not really remembering)that it isn’t a good sign that he’s having to go back and add stuff in at the last minute. Several of us who have been following every word Adam has been uttering noted that the album has never been declared “finished,” that he had recently stated he was going to be finishing up the Bruno Mars song over the next couple of weeks, and that he had been hoping for a certain vocal collaboration and that maybe he got what he was wishing for and, therefore, delayed the album. The posts were moderated because it was dredging up old conversations and fan arguments.
