Yes, HKfan – I sometimes get the underlying current from some in the music biz that he’s still not quite a legitimate performer – think that attitude has dissipated quite a lot (especially since the EMA’s), but it lingers – will take more time for some djs/pds to come on board, I believe.
Thanks gals for the Byron Cooke clips. Those put a smile on my face that’ll last all day. Adam really is looking good these days, like he said in a prior interview that this is a time in his life when his career and personal life are both on the same level. He’s excited about both. Haven’t downloaded the video yet but will later this afternoon as DH and I are doing lunch at a nice restaurant for Valentines day.

I really, really loathe Valentine’s Day but am so amused by the new “anti-valentines”…saw one the other day with a photo of a plumber leaning under a sink with the expected buttcrack shot, he has a heart tattoo just there, and the caption was something like “Don’t you just hate it when Valentines day is in your face no matter where you go?”.

Album delayed further. Well.
There are a few different ways to interpret this.
– RCA has realized that BTIKM is not going to be a big enough hit so they need time to push a second single before the album release.
– RCA has decided that the album needs more radio friendly material and therefore is making some changes to the track list.
– There are amazing additional collaboration tracks that are just now getting done.
– Adam and/or his management and/or RCA has cold feet about releasing the album, realizing how crucial this album is to Adam’s future prospects.
Amazing to think that at one time we thought the album would be released in time for the holiday shopping season.
If we optimistically assume a mid April release, it would seem that any tour could not start sooner than late August at the earliest, after the Summer Sonic event in Japan.
BTIKM adds – with
half2/3 of the monitored Top 40 panel reporting (104 of 156), just one add so far (WKZL Greensboro). The remainder of the panel should report by this evening.Whatever happened to RCAed?

I must tell y’all that my new favorite radio station is B101.5.
They played BTIKM today for me to hear without my even having to request!!! I swear the DJ must be a Glambert. After playing the song, she went on to pimp Adam’s new album entitled Trespassing. She also made the statement (and I’m doing my best to get this just right) that American Idol has definitely released some superstars from its show. This lifts my spirits and gives me a bit more hope for BTIKM and radio for Adam.

I called to request BTIKM on my local cumulous (spell?) station yesterday. The dj said “a new song? I’ll see if I can find it.” Of course never heard a thing.
And listened to Byron Cooke interviews, I thought Adam seemed “out of sorts” and of course Cooke was a fanboy wreck.
eywflyer… As always, your analysis is right on the money. I feel that your #2 and #3 options are the ones that are especially in my mind right now. Yes, they may be thinking that the album needs more radio friendly material and is making some changes to the track list. I would like to think that the delay was totally caused by “amazing additional collaboration tracks that are just now getting done.”

The Top 40 panel has now fully reported, and BTIKM only received two adds this week

After a total of 13 Top 40 adds during the previous two weeks, to get only two adds this week is disappointing.
The song is actually tracking ahead of WWFM’s pace on Hot AC adds, but is far behind on Top 40, and I don’t think the sales numbers have been very good so far either. Perhaps that will change with the video now on Itunes.
Luval, yep I think we are at a crucial moment for this song now. Momentum is clearly not there on Top 40, it’s going to have to perform very well in the next couple of weeks on Hot AC at the minimum.
