Hi everyone. Lurker here just dropping in to say I have both facebook and twitter. Facebook so I can keep up with my Grandson who is touring with Holiday on Ice in Paris right now and twitter for everything else. I voted using twitter and you can unmark the share box so it doesn’t show up on twitter every time.

I don’t feel this is an “age” thing. At least in my case, it is a matter of choice. I have “chosen” not to partake in both of these social networking systems.

dcglam ….in my case too. I refuse these social media sites!! Except of course when you have to vote for Adam.
If you try twitter you can always stop the sign in if you feel uncomfortable. It’s so quick. And you never get any spam in your e-mail.
Facebook keeps sending me reminders that so and so wants to “friend” you. They are usually people I worked with in the past who could have cared less at the time. I was a real rebel and an outsider through school. No way do I want these cruel people to find me. But Facebook is fine if you want to explore this sort of thing. I have no interest.
“It’s coming out in Mapril” pretty much covers it. I agree this could be a strategic decision. No point putting out an album if you don’t have enough buzz going.

I’m wondering what Clear Channel might have to do with slow uptake of BTIKM in US. I believe it is a very right-wing conglomerate, and I know it controls hundreds of stations in the central states, if not all of the lower 48. Perhaps Adam doesn’t fit with their philosophy. I know they are promoting Madonna but perhaps she is too big for them to ignore.
That Mapril word is funny to me. I’m surprised Adam hasn’t tweeted about this before appearing on these radio shows.

I’m actually getting a little excited for the Grammys Sunday night. Bruce Springsteen is supposed to open the show (he’s ok). I’ll bet if Adam got an invitation he will go even if he said he wasn’t. Probably the past winners get an automatic one but not sure about the past nominees.

luval totally agree with your viewpoints on twitter vs facebook. I love twitter for the very reasons you listed and am just annoyed by FB. They are constantly nudging me and I will have none of it. Did my 20 votes on vh1 using twitter and just did one tweet out about it. You can tweet out as many times as you wish.
Sounds like BB will be in NY during the Grammys. It makes me sad that he won’t be there. He deserves to be right up there with the biggest and the best. So happy that he has other exciting things lined up for himself outside of the USA. Keeping my hopes up that the US will someday wake up to what a phenomenal talent we have in Adam.
I wasn’t planning on watching the Grammys but now that Sasha will be there I just may change my mind.

I have to say I’m addicted to Twitter. I only follow folks that share my common interest (anyone want to take a guess what that is) and I can check it at work quickly without drawing too much attention to myself.
Can’t imagine why I waited so long to get a smart phone. Unfortunately it has added and abetted my horrible sleep patterns. Now I get up at all hours and check Twitter and Words with Friends.

Agree with what folks are saying about strategy re album release…but this puts a LOT of time between albums 1 and 2. When I say Adam Lambert (which I rarely do, too embarrassing), almost no one knows who I am talking about.
No one has seen the video or heard BTIKM. It just doesn’t exist on the radar.
Honestly, I wonder if Adam will ever be an American star? I would not be surprised to lose him to Europe, especially with a European boyfriend and so much more acceptance of his orientation there.
If so, I could totally justify moving to Paris!

apal123, yes it is me with the invisible facebook and twitter. I use them for nothing other than access to others’ pictures/posts, and all of my profile information is invisible to everyone but friends, and I don’t friend anyone. I receive no emails from facebook because I unchecked that box, too. Facebook doesn’t need to be a real name, either. And for Twitter I am kradamour.

The other day at work I saw a gal I hadn’t seen for a while. She is a big Adam fan, but doesn’t go online. She asked me if anything was new with Adam. I smiled and asked how much she wanted to know. So, I skipped alot. And I mean alot! I told her about BTIKM and new album, but nothing else.
So, I agree. Most people know nothing about Adam, except what they may or may not see on TMZ.
I want him to appear on the Voice, Idol, Fallon, SNL, Glee.
And not with BTIKM. It should be Trespassing or Cuckoo or something that will blow people away.
The senior poster here has twitter and FB. I use Facebook to keep up on my grand kids and other family members. I seldom post anything but do throw in a like or comment at times. Even tho at times I feel twitter is the devil, I still would miss it. It’s so fast and easy. I usually know most news and have seen pictures before I get here. You can choose who you follow and I have mostly Adam fans, Sauli, Adam’s Dad and Neil, the Cherrys and some of Adams other friends. I forgot I also throw in some political tweeters. As I approach my 80th (God I hate to write that number) birthday next month I remind myself of something I read on twitter. “Don’t complain about growing old as it’s a privilege that some don’t get.”
Okay, too many fleur de lis, but I watch these videos of Adam talking about his album…and he is totally cool with the roll-out, or he is an amazingly good actor. We should take that into consideration while we angst over this. Adam is excited and upbeat.
And honestly, that skin of his just glows…March 15 we juice, peeps. Someone above asked about the plan…I am researching juicers, don’t want to spend a fortune and don’t want a huge appliance on the counter. The breville has good reviews and is not expensive but I’m not committed to it yet.
Looking at plans…I am thinking a three day juice fast. That seems to pose no risk for normal, healthy peeps.
Re what juice, I’m looking into that, too, but I am thinking this might be a personal choice thing. There are a lot of sites on the web with detailed explanations. Let’s share!
mils, thank you for that Saturn returns post. It totally matches my life cycles…28 – 30 was a very rough period of growing pains for me, and I ended up marrying at 30 more as a result of wanting to resolve chaos than for any better reason.

I have facebook, which I use a fair bit to keep in touch with people all over the place, photos etc, I really don’t want to use that for voting, or commenting on articles that require FB. I’m not on twitter, can you get twitter if you have a bog standard old phone or do you need a fancy modern one??? or do I make another FB account with a made up name and no info???

I’m not on Facebook and don’t want to be. So many people give me such grief about it, nearly on a daily basis. Whatever. I’ll probably go on it before my “baby” goes on to college next year and leaves me an empty nester. He’s my last tech support at home. I agree with you. I would miss twitter and I didn’t think I would when I first started. I use fb book to stay in touch with my relatives. I’m the only one who left home so this is an easy way of keeping in touch with an immediate family that numbers over 50. When I said something about age I should have said more. When I started my fb page and my twitter account two of my nephews were just blown away that their “old” aunt could figure those thing out. LOL
Kradamour I want you to know I appreciate the research you are doing. I have so much paperwork to do for taxes. Once I’m past that I will join in the research. In the meantime I value your effort.
I’m not sure the reason I got on twitter, I can’t remember, but it certainly wasn’t to let everyone know what I’m doing. I love twitter! It’s crazy fun when something Adam happens. The reactions are instant, crazy, wild and fun! Most of the time!
