After a number of viewings, I’m so impressed with the BTIKM video. Artistic, beautifully produced, thought provoking, and sells the song extremely well. I haven’t checked the airplay numbers yet but from some earlier posts here it looks like the song is starting to make serious gains on Hot AC.
It’s really becoming clear that this light/dark duality is central to Adams artistic identity, and really is a common theme from FYE to Trespassing IMO. FYE video was dark Adam, IIHY was light Adam, WWFM was a mixture but mostly dark, and BTIKM is a showdown between the two sides.
Exciting times! Can’t wait to hear the album and hear all of these tracks live!
Thanks for that, dcglam. Didn’t see that last night. If I was Madonna I would be pissed that this nobody singer (IMO) upstaged her fine performance.
The VW/dog commercial was my favorite, too.
The band was sick and now Adam’s got it. Does anyone know when his next performance is supposed to be?

I really really missed all of you at adamlambertlive here.
Right now, I’m in the dark and naked.
I mean my PC woes. I lost everything. Had to replace my hard drive. I didn’t have a back up so I’m pretty naked now. My PC is not working properly.
Good thing I got signed in yesterday to wish Ron Happy Birthday.
I had my computer woes … again. This time was bad. Everything is gone. My PC wouldn’t even get started.
I had missed all the fun and will never catch up.
The Galaxy Tap 7.7 hasn’t reached this region yet.

Thanks for mentioning this NKD. He also made mention about his new band (I forget the words he used–HELP!) sounding or simply “BEING” more of an ensemble yeah, I think that is what he said meaning no show boats…that was the implication I believe!!! His comments were very deliberate IMHO. I do not see Adam as someone who would say things like that if there was not a basis in fact.

That’s probably correct, fwachdr. They are two different things. The VH1 viewing is only to get the video shown there. We should divide our views between the two.

the numbers are probably low on VH1 because they won’t let anyone outside the US watch adams videos. it really pi***s me off, because i can sometimes watch other singers videos on there but never Adams.
I always love to hear good news, and this is great!
However, what in the world is the deal with radio??? The song and video have received so many accolades from so many different sources. How long will it take for the song to be part of a regular spin cycle? I am getting so tired of listening to the same, same, same songs over and over and over again on the radio. Obviously, I’m not able to listen 24/7, but I do check the playlists from multiple stations whenever I have the opportunity. It’s just not happening for BTIKM in my area, yet.
Maybe, just maybe some of you guys have better news to share with me.
dcglam…nothing in my area either…central New York. Saw WWFM at midnight on a playlist last night. This worries me a bit. I think the only chance we have is the video/VH1 to help BTIKM get to radio. Think I’ll give VH1 some hits right now.
Well, dcglam, you know you won’t hear anything from me. I am basically still waiting to hear WWFM down here. Have heard it 3 or 4 times total on the radio, only one station. (shrugs)

I don’t usually listen to radio around here but I did try to request BTIKM and most of the stations don’t even have request lines unless you log in on facebook.

I e-mailed our good friend, Toby Knapp, twice already with no response. Well, all of his Adam blogs were phony as far as I’m concerned. This station in the DC area (Hot 99.5) is also Ryan Seacrest’s station. They not only are not including BTIKM, but also they haven’t even been including WWFM for a very long time. In other words, no Adam on that station. Here was my very “sweet” message to Toby with which I signed my real name…..

ETA I may be wrong about that, it is still #1 on the first page but listed as 2 on the page under his video.
The Hot AC panel has fully reported, BTIKM got 5 adds in the past week. It’s up to 27 adds total out of the 92 stations on the monitored panel.
Top 40 adds are mostly reported on Tuesday. With 24 of 156 stations in that format reporting, BTIKM has not picked up any adds yet.
Hopefully things improve when Adam returns to the States and does promo. I never understood why his mgmt scheduled him for an overseas promo trip during the initial push to radio here.
I’ve checked other vids on VH1, the view count is unusually low. Bruno Mars “It will rain” posted 2 months ago has all of 101,000 views. Looking from that perspective, Adam video that posted 2 days ago and gathered 10,000 views is doing incredibly well.
JMO.
BTW, discussion on MJ about “Shady” gave me a headache. I don’t know if I’m at kindergarden or nursing home for elderly.
Thanks luval and nkd. I did get my Fault 10 ordered. It was the right one, and everything worked well once I “liked” the thing on FB. McAfee decided to do an update right in the middle of my trying to order and check back here to see if I was on the right track. Everything slowed down, and I was in a tizzy. But all is well.

Oh, and the gauges at the end are different than what either D or L Adam wore. He has on the stainless steel looking ones at the end. I still think the difference is in the shadow.
