2014 wraps up this month and what a year it has been. We did not get a new album but many of us got to see Adam and Queen perform live and will see them again in the UK and Europe. Adam still found time to record “Imagine” for UNICEF and starting December 1, also be part of “giveStars“ where all proceeds go to charity. Throw in a Classic Rock Award for Band of the Year and an appearance on the UK X Factor and I would say that it was a pretty good year for Adam and ALL his fans. December will probably be quieter as he prepares for the Winter 2015 Q+AL tour but we have plenty to keep us going until the tour starts. Here’s hoping that some news about the new album will be Adam’s year-end gift to us! He’s the gift that keeps on giving!! And speaking of gifts, how about spending NYE with Queen and Adam in London! What a way to ring in the New Year!!!

I have some advice. Have a good computer “cleaner” available. Due to my personal experience, whenever opening videos from overseas, I tend to have tech problems later. Especially from China and Russia. Time will tell about the countries for QAL.

schwul means gay in German (for men).
The -en in schwulen is just the appropriate ending of the adjective in front of a singular male noun used in the accusative case (welcome to German grammar!)
So gay glamour – schwulen Glamour – camp is not a bad translation.
I have to say that to me “gay” sounds so much better than “schwul”. Maybe because when I grew up in a conservative little German village, “schwul” was a dirty word, I never heard it uttered in public, let alone by my parents. And there were lots of gay people in the public eye, in the community, among my friends, and in my family. But the topic was just completely avoided, as if gay existed only on TV (in those American shows!).
