After a very eventful past month for Adam and his fans, December has arrived. Adam enjoyed quite a bit of publicity during November, including an epic performance with Queen at the EMAs, a Rolling Stone interview, a mentoring appearance on Majors & Minors, and his return to the AMA stage (unfortunately only as a presenter this time around). Still no new music for us to enjoy with our holiday feasts, but all the signs currently point to the lead single from Adam’s new album being released in January.

Update 7 PM 12/14: as per Adam’s tweets today, “Better Than I Know Myself”, the lead single from his new album “Trespassing”, will be released on Tuesday, December 20th!

    Wonder if Adam will celebrate at all. He’s pretty non-observant. Just has a strong identity.

    Right, two points that help this song seem brilliant:

    1. It actually is brilliant in a overwrought sad-at-Christmas falling-to-knees-pleading-to-the-skies sort of way.

    2. We’ve heard the rest of the album, which means we know the unexpectedly downbeat clatter of ‘Better Than I Know Myself’ is NO REASON TO PANIC because there are lots of bits on the rest of the album that are of the ‘big explosive electronic pop epic’ variety.

    So the “downbeat clatter” that is recognized by one of these websites. Probably from some of the comments like Kradamour said.

    Wonder if we’ll ever see vids from China.

    Other countries previewing today and/or tomorrow: Philippines, Finland, Netherlands. I think maybe Germany too. But the song has been embedded in articles from many additional countries, so they’re hearing it (Italy, for example, China, Poland, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, even Thailand.) There may be others we aren’t aware of yet, in Eastern Europe. Most of the article comments I’ve read internationally were favorable – some VERY favorable (Brazil, Poland for example).

    Personally, I don’t think Adam took that picture of Sauli. It’s the pic on his blog dated today, where he says he has vicious jetlag and hasn’t been able to sleep. I think probably taken before Adam’s arrival and posted on the blog. Can’t imagine him writing the blog in late afternoon after Adam arrived. To imply that Adam took and posted the pic is sort of salacious – he’s pretty private, don’t think he would do that. JMHO……

    Just got my itunes copy. What a great day, people. To think he is snuggled up somewhere in Finland with Sauli enjoying some Hot Hottie while this whole single roll-out unfolds. I am so looking forward to live performances, interviews, and the whole shebang. He better take a couple of deep breaths before the craziness begins.

    The BTIKM thread on MJs says that the official radio add dates are Jan 23 for HAC and Jan 30 for CHR (Top 40). Odd, since some stations are starting to play it already. I guess they want to allow time for the Christmas freeze to thaw out and for Adam to do promo after his holiday vacation in Finland.

    Have listened to it four times now. I like it, but not in love with it, not yet anyway. I see it charting but probably not reaching the Top 10 on CHR radio (WWFM peaked at #10 on the Billboard Hot 100, IIHY peaked at #30). It might do better on HAC. The sound is a bit dated IMO, the very beginning of the song is a bit odd, and I find the beat somewhat distracting from Adam’s voice. On the good side, the bridge/chorus parts do showcase his vocal abilities nicely.

    Kradamour, I guess I am a bit stoic at this point. Hoping the song does well of course, and it is encouraging that some radio stations are already starting to play it, but I don’t see this one rocketing quickly up the charts. Sorry to be a debby downer on this, but that’s my opinion FWIW. Hopefully I’m being too pessimistic.

    I bought it on itunes, sounds real good, clear, voice wonderful, I just love him singing the backup. The end sounds like the beginning, fades off, its kinda like CLYG ends. Now, when is he gonna perform it live lol!!! Clap Hug Left Hug Right High Five! Jump

I posted one thing two weeks ago and have been blocked from there since. My post was not negative or directed at anyone. Just wondering what I am doing wrong, but I’m not going to loose sleep or over it, but will be listening to BTIKM…

    loveroftalent, I feel your pain. For the life of me I can’t figure out what triggers MJ’s wrath. I read her quidelines and still don’t know. I guess one cannot be sarcastic, jokes are not tolerated either, answering directly to a person who disagree with you is a no no, and constant negativity on YeahRight part is “expressing opinion”.
    I’m still waiting for Marchle ,who should show up soon under her 25 new nick spilling some venom as usual… *shrugs*

    loveroftalent , I’ve noticed the same thing over at mj’s. I may not be totally objective, but it seems that she gives the non-Adam fans more leeway than the fans. After being reprimanded a time or two, I decided that it wasn’t worth posting over there, although I do visit and enjoy her blog (I just have to sit on my hands!)

Now the Durbin fans are tweeting her nasty stuff because MJ allowed him to get his fair share of criticism after she posted that incident of him “singing” badly at the football game. Now his Adam hater fans are on the opposite side of what they usually do and aren’t happy about it. Payback is kinda nice. Grin

    I’m kidding, I’m kidding!! Remember that he flown from the East, so 7AM Finnish time is really his lunchtime. I suffered 6 hour jetlag so many times, that going to the fridge in the middle of the night doesn’t seem too unusual..

    I have flown from Asia to Europe many times, and we are always up between 5 and 7am the first day. then it graduallys gets a bit later. But Adam also had the US to Asia leg so his body clock is probably totally upside down.

    cher, it just accentuates how lucky we all are to get to play over here! The good news is that there are numerous Adam fans who post regularly at MJ’s and seem to have figured out how to walk the line between expressing their opinions and not “getting in trouble”, lol.

    loveroftalent, I also think you should email mj – I had to email her due to issues with my login name and she was very prompt in her reply/assistance.

    Question: Does mj benefit from hits to her blog? I have always assumed that her advertising $$ is based on hits. If that is the case, I don’t understand why she wouldn’t like Adam fans (assuming we mind our manners!) – Adam’s headlines always generate a ton of traffic!

    So true about the body clock! But, nothing like a few #1’s on a few iTunes to make a body happy! I just remember all those fans in that Helsinki dept store last year – they already had a lot of love for Adam before they even knew they would be adopting him. Nice holiday gift they’re giving him In Love

    Cher, several of my posts overe there were deleted, but no, I haven’t been banned, cause I know how to walk on the eggshells.

    Ya, Yeah Right just does this to dig at Adam fans, I dont get why he or she even bothers to go on the Adam threads, boy he really rolls with someone saying something negative. Whose person is Yeah Right a fan of anyhow? Just seems such a waste of time IMO. I try to post a comment pertaining to what he said without refering to him. It does really upset me to read this crap tho, and I want to see what other people are saying about Adam. MJ really should warn him because it is so annoying, I really think they enjoy stirring trouble.
