Wow…the Shanghai set was pretty anticlimactic…not surprised that he didn’t do the new single, but this probably felt like “just a day’s work” to pay the bills for Adam.
When this event was scheduled, way back when, he probably thought he would be performing the new single.
No doubt he put his all into it regardless, even though it may have felt a bit “yesterday’s news” to him. Boy is a professional.
And since this was the old music, I hope that the lack of Monte on stage with him wasn’t a source of distress.
Do we know if Tommy was there?

Doubt if Adam will appear on X-factor finale. Already they have Bieber, Stevie Wonder, Leona Lewis and others (maybe he could be an “other”). But it would be a perfect opportunity for Steve Jones to say “next is Adam Lambert who’s first single Better Than I Know Myself off his new album Trespassing, was released yesterday. America, welcome ADAM LAMBERT!!!!! screaming!!!!”

I always figured it might be an appearance on the British X-Factor. He really needs to establish himself there as well as here. The UK seemed to be lagging in support and with the Queen performance fresh, it would be great timing. He might just be in Europe soon (Finland) and do some promos over there. I wonder how much Adam texted Sauli this trip. Someone on twitter said the Tommy reported after the Russia trip that Adam spent most of his free time texting Sauli. Sounds about right when your in love and apart.

We can then discuss the feelings we both share about BTIKM. 
I couldn’t be happier that most like it/love it but, after listening to it many times, I don’t “get it”. It just doesn’t “grab me”. What stops me from liking it is that, IMO, the vocals are not crisp and clear, front and center. That incredible voice is being somewhat diminished by too much production … again. I just want to hear The Voice without all that extra “stuff” getting in the way. He can add that “stuff” just as long as I can clearly hear him. This explains why I love the song, “Outlaws of Love” so much. Or, for that matter, “Mad World”.
Anyway, I’m genuinely thrilled that most people love it and that pre-sales, especially at this early time, are very impressive. As long as it turns into a big Hit for Adam, I’ll be one very happy puppy.
Care for another Kir, Kradamour? I’m ready to order my second pitcher.

Hi Calgary! I did see the article in yesterday’s newspaper but I didn’t read it. With apologies to Bieber fans, I’m not one. Good lord, is there anything that I do like?
I never really listened to Bieber until the EMA’s. I thought I was being very unfair to dismiss him as just another teenage heart-throb and wanted to know what all the fuss was about. I gave him my full attention. I don’t know what all the fuss is about.
He’s still a child, so to speak, with all kinds of room for growth and maturity. But, you have to have something concrete to begin with and what I heard on the EMA’s was just so much wet cement.
I think it’s his appearance that makes him so popular today and I’m sure he’ll be a very handsome adult man. But there’s that pesky little thing that might stand in the way of longevity in the music business … his voice.

I don’t think everyone has to love or even like BTIKM, I’m just sorry that you aren’t getting this same feeling from it that I am.
To me, listening to the higher quality version with earbuds, I do hear those vocals clearly and they are awesome!
I love his naked voice but unfortunately that’s not going to get radio play, at least not yet. Maybe that day will come and everyone will be awed!

Much to my surprise I do like to listen to the song! A very different experience from my first encounter with FYE. Even after Adam specifically stated for months on end that he would make dance-y, electronic music, I was astounded (and very unhappy) when I first heard it.
I’m afraid to hope for Queen and the Olympics, but wouldn’t that be unbelievable?

Also, live I liked every song a lot, but I’ve grown to like the CD as well. So, if I can enjoy the music on the new CD immediately, I’m way ahead of the game!
ITA! And I think on Tuesday when we get the actual release of BTIKM there will be more and more peeps on board. Right now it keeps on growing and growing on me and I started out fairly neutral.
Hoping for Queen and Adam for the Olympics but not getting my hopes too high. Right now would love Adam on the Xfactor this week introducing his new single!!! Who knows??
I haven’t downloaded any of the new versions of BTIKM. I will wait for Tuesday. I have let go of my need to love all of Adam’s music. All I really want is for him to be successful and happy. God I sound like a mother. I know his voice will prevail.

Adam Lambert released the full stream for “Better Than I Know Myself.” Now before someone calls me anti-Adam, get over it. I have his album and listen regularly. I was the first one screaming when ABC screwed him over the AMAs. But this just doesn’t wow me. It doesn’t sound fresh, and to me it sounds like it could have been on the first album. I had such high hopes. I just think that Adam is more talented than this song.

I disagree with the part where he says it could have been on his first album. Don’t think so. It has more of an urban beat I think. And I totally understand peeps that never liked WWFM. It has that similar vibe. I loved WWFM right from the start so that helped me slowly get into BTIKM. And like everyone says, it’s not “me” who will make the difference. I want everyone else to love, buy it and get it to top 10.
I sent a friend at work some links who has always liked Adam. Saw him in the Idol tour but never GN. Sent her BTIKM and she replied “I like it”. Sent her Adam/Queen EMA’s and she replied “I LOVE IT!!!!!!”.
I am a little worried that the Adam/Queen will really start to blow up and overshadow Trespassing. IMO he really can’t do anything with them until way after the album is released in March. That’s probably his plan, though.

Yes, BTIKM is a very safe song. Personally, this is what I think they were going for.
It has both the vocals and the pop sound which are crucial to today’s music. It may not be the WOW song from Adam’s album, but it should be radio and TV friendly.

There are quite a few airport videos of Adam on 24/7. I love them. So reminds me of a year and a half ago (seems longer), when Adam started his promo tour.
Hi Ron and Kradamour in the corner with your Kir and beer! I’m in the middle right now…not heading for the corner yet. When I turn it up really really loud on my crappy computer speakers the voice really comes through. So I am waiting to buy it, put it on my ipod and listen with better speakers.
I just put my order in with Amazon for 2 Trespassing Deluxe albums to be delivered on March 20. Haha — one for my home and one for my car.

After only 2 days in the top 100, Trespassing Deluxe is at #13 (now #14?) in the Pop best sellers list. Adam is even above Susan Boyle with an upward trend. Funny that Adam’s is the only pic not related to an album. And yes, out of the zillions of online beautiful pics of Adam, that is NOT the one I would have selected.
ETA: Adam’s ranking keeps changing every hour. It went from 13 to 14 to 16 within just a few hours. It’s all good, though.
