After a very eventful past month for Adam and his fans, December has arrived. Adam enjoyed quite a bit of publicity during November, including an epic performance with Queen at the EMAs, a Rolling Stone interview, a mentoring appearance on Majors & Minors, and his return to the AMA stage (unfortunately only as a presenter this time around). Still no new music for us to enjoy with our holiday feasts, but all the signs currently point to the lead single from Adam’s new album being released in January.

Update 7 PM 12/14: as per Adam’s tweets today, “Better Than I Know Myself”, the lead single from his new album “Trespassing”, will be released on Tuesday, December 20th!

    I noticed some people mentioned that Ryan Tedder was not on the list of collaborators. But I’m not going to assume that he’s not. The press release said collaborators INCLUDING… etc. etc. Tedder, Niles Rogers and others could still be in the mix. Will just have to wait.

    Hello Peeps, just have a few short minutes before company arrives to share my thoughts/hopes for BB. I have listened to BTIKM several times and agree that the VEVO version is the best. It is so much more “poppy” than I expected but I think Adam has a hit on his hands because of that. There is a hook, its heartfelt, and absolutely lovely in parts. I really really want us to hear this song on the radio, in malls, at the grocery store, in restaurants….. What a fun holiday gift he has given us! I hope we get some vids from Amway event. Would love to see him perform on XFactor too!

    cwm: With regards to that list.

    We Strongly recommend that you burn the CDs.

    I guess I might have misunderstood this. I burned CDs alright. So that I could play them non-stop in my car/house. My kids could do excellent versions of David Bowie’s “Starman” before they hit 8 years old.
    I seriously hope that there is only a very small group of people that subscribe to this type of thinking. It seems to me like a remnant from the middle ages. Somebody would have to be brain-washed from infancy to end up with these attitudes.

    I am pretty convinced by now that BTIKM will do well. Lots of people saying they like it better the more they hear it (better sound helps). I for one am hypnotized by that stunning picture. Adam and his team made some smart choices.

    I am thrilled that we can order the deluxe version right out of the box this time around. I remember last time finding out about the deluxe version later on after I had already purchased multiple copies of the regular. I’m stoked!!

    I printed out the words to BTIKM and the part that I think is odd musically is when he says “but I could never..”. The word “never” goes low and that’s the part that bugs me. Gosh I’m so picky. Smile

    No, I’m sure it’s not the album cover, ultima. That’s just a recent (and very nice) photo of Adam that was taken when he was in London. I’m sure there will be much hoopla surrounding the unveiling of the album cover!

    The only thing that saddens me about that Times article is where Adam describes his depression/dark time after the tour was over. I think we’re only just now starting to hear how much that tour took out of him. It must have been grueling and I’m sure he was completely exhausted.

    I remember back then during that post-tour period all of the tweets and blogposts about how Adam should be working working working on his next album, rather than taking a break and resting. Now we know how much he needed that break. And how much he needed someone wonderful like Sauli to come into his life.

    cwm…feel the same way. First thing I thought of…the depression and dark time …which he mentioned in the RS article first. He said it a bit different then “I was dramatically shut in”, but I think he meant the same. He probably wasn’t sure what the next step was, where to start, etc. So glad things worked out. Yup, I feel guilty wondering why he wasn’t working. Sorry, Adam.

    As far as the China time thing, isn’t it 8am EST which would be 7am your time, mils? I could be wrong.

    That Times article got a few things mixed up in the Adam time-line. However, only us BSC fans would even know or care.

    However, that post-tour “depression” could be interpreted a lot of ways. And, haven’t we all felt a little bummed out, or even down after a big event? I call it the post party blues. When you’ve planned for and worked so hard, then when it’s all done, you kind of feel like, “Well. Now what?”

    Especially when you’ve done an excellent job. And everybody loved it. Now, imagine that you’ve given 114 parties, a gazillion interviews, met thousands of people,and done super duper well, and everybody just expects more.

    I think feeling down would be very normal.

    So, how did our boy react? After his down time. With a poncho and hair extensions, then with a pirate face. And Bora Bora. Oh. Our Adam.

    I love that Sunday Times interview. I can’t believe it’s all started. I’m just so excited!
    I love the thought of this part of the interview, and I’m now greatly anticipating this song. I love love Another One Bites the Dust!
