After a very eventful past month for Adam and his fans, December has arrived. Adam enjoyed quite a bit of publicity during November, including an epic performance with Queen at the EMAs, a Rolling Stone interview, a mentoring appearance on Majors & Minors, and his return to the AMA stage (unfortunately only as a presenter this time around). Still no new music for us to enjoy with our holiday feasts, but all the signs currently point to the lead single from Adam’s new album being released in January.

Update 7 PM 12/14: as per Adam’s tweets today, “Better Than I Know Myself”, the lead single from his new album “Trespassing”, will be released on Tuesday, December 20th!

    Happy birthday Texas on your special day and to all the December celebrants. Also having a December birthday (24th) I know that people get busy and sometimes forget. I’m sure your family will make you feel treasured on your 29th.
    I am on the loving Adam’s voice on the snippet train. I have always loved voices that could build to an emotional peak and bring the listener with them. I think this comes from listening to so much musical theater growing up. I don’t know if this is popular today but I like it and will support it as best I can.
    Before going back to lurkdom, I want to wish everyone Happy Holidays and let you know that you bring joy and laughter to so many whose RL is sometimes challenging.

    dcglam, you might just hear BTIKM on your DC radio! Imagine Toby telling Adam fans that they need to be vocal! even if he did give a wink at the end

    Oh Mr. Knapp, I promise I will be vocal. I have both your e-mail address and phone number. As stated before, I will be making sure you are a man of your words. I am expecting you to play my boy’s music on your station right out of the box.

    Funny thing about our buddy, Toby. I happened to listen to his radio station when he was on air today on my way home from work. My car radio is set to six of the top DC stations — his (HOT 99.5) is my #1. I’m ready for you, Toby….. LOL!!!

    ETA: This happens to be Ryan Seacrest’s station as well. He is on air from 11-3, while Toby is on from 3-7.

    Three things I needed to say:
    1. Happy Birthday to TexasWannaHoldEm
    2. BTIKM is so very catchy.
    3. To be honest, I liked neither FYE nor WWFM that much as songs. I just like Adam, that’s all.
    And since lists are mils’ domain, I better stop here.
    ETA: 3. is not really true. Loved Soaked, Sleepwalker, Broken Open, Fever. So Iike others around here, I am confident there will be something I love on the new album.

    Thanks again for the sweet birthday comments, everyone! It is really so nice to come here and share with you folks – thanks to eywflyer for all the effort in running the site, and thanks to everyone who visits and shares here – I enjoy you all so very much!

    We just returned from a great dinner of oysters on the half shell, crawfish etoufee, fried catfish and gumbo – I’m so full I’ll probably have a food hangover tomorrow!

    Early birthday wishes to dcglam and apal123!!! I hope your loved ones go the extra mile and make you feel extra special on your b-day – it’s really hard this busy time of the year to add “another” celebration to the list!

    So is Adam on his way to Shanghai…so near and yet so far. At least he will be on the same continent as me for once, breathing in the same air..sort of. Actually I hope he doesn’t do much breathing in, outside at least, its bloody polluted here at the moment!! wonder if we’ll get any pictures from the airport, heard some China Glamberts had made a banner and were going to the airport.

    Sistakrads..Don’t be away from here too long. We’ll be missing your thoughtful posts and your presence here. Hope you get your tree, trimmings, and cooking done soon. It’s great that your sons will be there for the holidays.

    My daughter is still in Korea. I miss her very much.

    Do you know why I missed the 15,000th post?
    I paused, posted and then deleted that post after the one I asked if anybody was home.

    I heard that BTIKM whole track had leaked on twitter.

    Sad and don’t know what to think or should I post or not to post about it.

    I’m not on twitter, so I’ll wait for Tuesday or even longer because where I live (no itunes store from here)

    12/16/10 – the Glam Nation Tour plays its finale at the sold out Club Nokia in downtown Los Angeles. This made a total of 113 live appearances for Adam and company (74 official GNT U.S. dates, 32 international GNT dates, and 7 non-tour appearances) from 6/4/10 through 12/16/10. This show featured a 14 minute long IIHY complete with extensive band/dancer intros, and an epic Purple Haze / Whole Lotta Love encore to close out the tour in style.

    The chat thread on MJs for this show would end up serving as our online home for months (until the Aftermath remix “feathers” thread in March as I recall), and would accumulate over 6,000 comments during that time.

    Hi, sistasif! I peeked in one time (couldn’t help myself lol) and saw your posts. No, my soldier son will only be here for a few days, then back to camp, then field practice in several states…then later in the year to Afghanistan. I try not to think about that part, just enjoy him while he is here. My university son will be here for a month, but he is never too far away, only about 100 miles.

    I hope that your daughter enjoys Korea and that you will be able to see her soon – do you skype? that really helps me when my children are far away – my son was in Korea for a year and did not enjoy it, but I think being in the army makes a difference. Wink

    Thank you for all the Chinese goodies!!!!! In Love Love the pics, love the hair, love that Adam got love from fans and that there weren’t too many to be difficult after a long flight.

    Okay, now really off the blog for a while. Glad I peeked in this morning, though! and that you were here! (I guess everyone else is sleeping in…) Mwah! Heart

    So I’m trying to be positive about the new single. Shouldn’t have read comments on other sites where peeps say it sounds like Nickelback…my least favorite group of all time. Can’t get that out of my head. And it isn’t how clear the snippet is, it’s the tune. Sounds like other songs, sounds like the demo to me, sounds like Dr Luke. But as Kradamour and Texas and others have said, there surely will be other songs on the album I will like.

    His voice not prominent: Adam said in Rolling Stone “At first I was trying to figure out how to please my fans – but then started trusting my instincts.” We want the voice, not over-dubbing, big production, but I believe Adam knows he has to be commercial. He wants to stay around a long time. Unfortunately the music business is just that…big business. If it’s not a hit, he’ll be gone from radio. Adele is a fluke. And as much as I love her voice I could never listen to a whole album of her’s. I wish him the best with this single.

    Again, I know I’m in the minority about liking it and I’m still willing to wait for the whole song. I hope he debuts it in China. I really think we’ll get videos.

    So I’ll try to be upbeat. Love seeing Adam out there. As far as X-FActor…I hope it’s true, although I heard Beiber is supposed to appear on the finale. Ugh.

    eta…if that guy behind Adam is the new Lane…he’s cute! bodyguard-ish too.
