Sheesh … 11 minutes to do the jigsaw puzzle on AL’s puzzle page. No wonder it takes me a year to do a regular jigsaw puzzle. Love them, though.

Finally trying to catch up here after many weeks of absence. So sorry for all those who have had hard struggles with ageing or loss of parents/close ones recently. I’m very close to my mother and we spend a lot of time together at the country cottage. It scares me to think of her aging, we are practically each other’s family. Cait, wishing you all the strenght in your difficult situation and don’t hesitate to search for help yourself if it get’s too hard! Thinking of you too cwm, what a tough season you have behind, wishing you easier times ahead.
RL has kept me away both in good and in bad. Some weeks ago I got a bad cramp on my neck/shoulder, it was very painful and I couldn’t do anything with my right hand. Writing and even reading on internet was pretty difficult and painful. It lasted almost three weeks, so I had to give up internet fangirling for a while. But music has been my joy
Now I am fine again, and enjoying fully the summer which finally arrived here in August, I’m spending most of the time outdoors.
It’s incredible how busy Adam has been! I have watched tons of interviews here and there, still a lot to catch. He is so sweet, funny, natural, simply adorable. Thank you for all the links and “best of” -suggestions!
My summer has been very social compared to earlier ones, thanks to cold weather and staying in town more than usually, a lot of friends visiting. I dont have a special Adam story to share, but in many occasions I have heard people liking Adam’s new music, people who are not typical fan demographe. That makes me happy.
Also I found out that an old study/work collegue from Helsinki loves Adam’s music. We were not personal friends and hadn’t seen each other for ten years, but ended up going to a stadium concert in my home town. She replied to me when I was looking for company on facebook for concert my own friends are not interested in. We had a great time, learned to know each other a lot and spent next morning fangirling with Adam videos. I showed her Morongo vids and some Queenbert vids and told about my online fansite life and QAL concert trips. She has watched some vids on youtube but has two school aged young kids and responsible position at work so she has not much time to spend online. So I promised to send her best pieces and important info about concerts. If I only had known before London QAL concerts were announced! She said she would join me in a minute. She was also in WAG Helsinki concert with her husband. Who also likes Adam’s music and thinks Adam and Sauli were super cute pair
Sorry for the long post. It’s great to have Adam and music in my life, happy to find people with like minds

“Stars” was a pretty big one for her –
Adam has recognised and thanked his fans many many many times, even in recent interviews, thanked us for sticking with him, said he wouldn’t be where he is without it, etc. and he calls us Glamberts, says he likes that name.
Plus, it’s true that this fandom is pretty unique in all the many tasks it performs, keeping concert stats, videoing/ streaming every performance and uploading for everyone’s enjoyment worldwide, helping each other with travel, etc., fan art, recaps, in short, things that were in that BB article. We even financed our own videographer for the int’l GNT.
So I see nothing wrong with putting it out there. Maybe “wind beneath his wings” is strong, but….going to multiple concerts, buying multiple albums, voting, voting, voting, etc. does have some impact for sure. True, not all fans participate in all this, but….Adam still calls fans Glamberts.
What really annoyed me is the supposition that all “Glamberts” are these middle-aged “motherly” types. Really?? The young Koreans and Russians who did the flash crowds for Adam? The young people worldwide who came to his concerts? They consider themselves Glamberts. Lots of the young people who are streaming now and driving up the YT views too. If someone has a problem with the name, it’s in their head. The fandom has become even more diverse than before, but I remember the GNT audiences being very mixed too.

Lots of back and forth on twitter last night about “Glambert” I love that word. An Adam Lambert fan is a Glambert. Adam loves it too as he’s said in many interviews. It ain’t that deep.
#2 has been very great for him. If ALN is the next single I would love this song to be the breakout of all breakouts on the radio. Having 2 songs on the top 40 would be amazing! Not my fav as I’ve mentioned in the past but I’ll take it!
Amen. When we call ourselves Glamberts we proclaim our kinship to a truly amazing community of people.
We won’t let anyone define or diminish us for who we are in ANY other way, Why would we let them do so when it comes to the fandom. If someone thinks we’re “too old” or wants to call us glitter cows, that’s their problem.
ALN makes sense in terms of the images. Las Vegas isn’t necessarily a happy place. For every person who hits the jackpot, half a dozen have to lose. I used to go to there on business and there always seemed to be a women in the bathroom crying her eyes out. There has to be another half to that equation.
Plus the CD sticker says ALN, so there we go.
TOH is a-coming, though. I read somewhere that the 3rd single is supposed to be the consolidating single – people who like all three official, radio releases decide at that point whether to “complete the CD”. TOH is a good spring release, with genuine “song of summer” potential. It’s an “open the car windows and turn up the speed on a hot night” sort of song. It has guy and girl appeal.
I like TOH, TIDS and The Light more than ALN but it’s a good choice.
Glass half full – even if GT only makes it to low-twenties on POP and mid-teens on HAC charts, the radio exposure is linking the song to his name with many people. The longer it palys at 13 AI, the more it will help his concert box office and long term CD sales.

That’s the scuttlebutt on twitter, luval. It’s hard to say whether Adam actually dropped iHeart for QAL/RIR or whether Adam was pencilled in as a possibility and they asked too late. It was probably the latter, imho, but Brian & Roger certainly have enough clout to negotiate him out of iHeart.
It would have been great but it’s unlikely that Adam would have been allowed to sing more than one song and he would have been featured fairly early in the event so it’s not the end of the world, imho.
RIR pays well and gives him great exposure. Plus how do you say no to Brian and Roger? It is what it is.
So one,two maybe 3 songs at iheart? Not worth it IMO. So many other artists in the mix there. To me it’s like an over-size jingle ball. Lots of drinking from the casino. People wandering in & out when they don’t want to see anyone but their special snowflake. haha Once was enough for me (2013)

Agree Adam chose well, RIR-QAL over a few songs in the melting pot that is the iHeart festival. This QAL stint will introduce him to Latin America in person, a huuuge music market where they loooove a really good voice! Having lived in Nicaragua for 20 years and traveled extensively all over there for my work later, I learned to love the music, so varied from every single country. And radio there plays all music from all the countries as well as Spain and Portugal, so you get to know it well. They throw in some USA stuff too, and European.
There’s a lot of whining about “the U.S.” But we still have October, November and December, and he said he has TOH promo obligations til year-end, so surely some to look forward to!
And he mentioned some Asia stuff too, prob in Jan/Feb tying in with Oz/NZ. Very exciting!

ITA on iHeart, luval. It was certainly worth going to iHeart in 2013 but radio concerts are never as exciting as Adam concerts. PLUS, we will get a whole lot more of Adam in performance at RIR. Can’t wait for the videos!
Twitter has a real mix of sad and happy over this. I get the concern about Adam’s working relationship with iHeart and the importance of American radio but it seems as though some fans still don’t get QAL at all. I guess beauty is in the ears of the beholder.

Hehe, I just meant someone intelligent, talented like Chris. Being cerebral as A is, I think he needs someone brainy too, and brains can be very sexy when coupled with other qualities. I could never stand a guy without, no matter how gorgeous.
Don’t you think this conversation about the iHeart festival happened a while ago? RIR was announced back in April, no? But iHeart has hosted his album launch gig, had him at KTU, on red carpets, DJing all over, free gig in NZ. And let’s not forget, they did the QAL at their festival, then the pre-tour concert. I think that relationship is just fine, and they of all people understand the Queen/Adam relationship. So, I attribute it to more whining about the U.S. and ignoring the plentiful evidence that iHeart is fine with Adam.
