As July ends, so does a fantastic series of concerts by Queen and Adam across North America. It will be a summer that many ALLers will never forget! Q+AL take a few weeks break before heading off to Asia and then for concerts Down Under. If the reception there is anything like it was here, Q+AL can expect to get some major loving!

    Wow loved checking in today and seeing old GNT videos. Those were certainly very fine days especially the overseas shows. I remember after each show checking for Suz and TALC’s vids of Fever, WWL, Purple Haze, etc. They always came through as they knew what to upload for us first! LOL!

    rs, my thoughts are with you also. I hope you are safe and there will be peace soon.

    I had a chuckle at the WLL discussion. It reminded me that I had made a boxed DVD set, for a friend’s birthday, of every WLL Adam had done. I would happily send the copy I made to anyone who was interested but it is in Pal (not ntsc) format.
    There are 74 WLLs. Wow that’s IS a whole lot. Some of them are probably from the same show. (there were a couple I couldn’t decide on the best video.)

    I love this picture! It has been one of all time favorite’s.
    So many nuances that Adam love’s, and very avaunt garde.
    Yes The artistry is trying to capture the nonconformism of his true spirit. Is it a girl, or is it guy? Love the arogynous elements.

    Boy does love his laces. Even when he ripped a pair and so callously kept performing. No respect for the laces. He should have just removed them and let a fan repair them lickety split.

    He has worn his laces on Glamnation, for Queen and for one-offs.

    He must have a dozen pairs.

    Those laces got road-tested.

    Those laces had serious werk to do.

    Those laces had to contain precious cargo.

    Those laces came slighty undone a few times.

    Those laces had a feather stuck precariously to them, causing us to conduct serious research as to how long it would stay “there.”

    Those laces had two different fabrics. One of which was the “preferred” fabric , as it ,erm, seeemed to give our boy more , erm, room to play.

    Oh. The laces.

    It’s been too long since we’ve seen ‘em.

    Been stuck in the Dragon Attack and Love Kills pants.

    Not that I’m complaining. Nope.

    Especially not about the Chicago white pants. Nope.

    No complaints here. Not at all.

    OMG mils!!! I am dying over here. ROTFL

    This performance of Purple Haze is absolutely INCREDIBLE.
    Holy Smokes!!

    The best version of PH I’ve heard so far, imo.

    (LOVE, love the time in Amsterdam….beyond sexy, scintillating in every possible way. Personally, I think that version and Fantasy Springs of WWL are the best)

    Adam’s vocals are the best I’ve heard on PH, here.
    Warning: Not for the faint of heart…
    It rocks HARD y’all.

    It is only natural, and very healthy, after the months of anticipation before the QAL tour and the adrenaline high that the tour gave us, to keep our spirits up by reminiscing and revisiting Adam’s greatest moments. It is keeping us from going into post QAL depression and withdrawal. In addition to that, it is reminding us that, while Adam is the perfect singer to front Queen, when it is over and he returns to his own solo career, he is one fine, fabulous, funny, gorgeous, goofy, sexy, sensual, outrageous, multitalented, multi-octave, singer in his own right!

    Thank you smalls for, however unwittingly, providing us with this remedy for our post QAL blues Heart Rose

    How I understand. I’ve been on Adam (live concert) withdrawal for over two years…. Starving …. weep …. Struggle … Sweat … Eek!. Needin’ a whole lotta love. lol

That man is a photographer’s dream – but, funnily, my hubby didn’t seem that impressed when he looked over my shoulder as I was lingering over a pretty Glambulgy shot – but, all’s OK as I explained to him that I was ‘working’ to find a pic for that delightful new lady on ALL who ‘needed’ to know and see some Lambert history.

    So, thanks smalls for inspiring me to go to THE FILES, and for being my excuse Smile

    That LA PH and WLL are infamous. Several of us were there, however, I wasn’t. My mom had hip replacement literally that day. I remember so well, I had several different ways of getting there, even a ticket offered, however, when my mom announced her surgery date, I just kept this “other thing” to myself and said, “oh, mom, I’ll be there for you.”

    I just love how you have discovered the best of the best.

    I still go back to this once in a while. He was so over the top, and his final wails were unbelievable.

    Oh. And by the way. The laces have their own shrine in the corner. In the Pants Hall of Fame.

    In Toronto, we had a deep discussion about what will happen to the couch after Queen is over. The mutual decision was that one would go to Adam’s house. And that one will be in the corner.

    Make it so.

    I have finally finished uploading my videos from Merriweather. I was in the pit, RIGHT NEXT TO the B-stage, with rs, mmm222, and M. These are my vids of when Adam was on the B-stage.

    These videos aren’t the greatest quality because my camara is crap and I’m not much of a videographer, so I apologize in advance for shakiness and blurriness. But they definitely capture our great close-up view of Adam, and, at times, the intensity of the pit. Watching these puts me right back there at the show! Occasionally you can see the back of rs’ or M’s head or arms, since they were right there with me. Smile

    I immediately thought that I would order it and I had a fantasy vision of the two of us clinking glasses.

    Tlkc I’ve never been to dimsum with M nor has riskylady ever been to a dimsum place. Have promised to take her and riskyhubby soon though. Have been with Billy many times however. I’ve seen that charge for leftovers at two places for all you can eat Japanese sushi.

    Well, I was in Toronto twice and was out West and did one East at MSG and now have brought my mother home with me for the month. I tried to cover all bases!! Laugh My whole section of the US was dissed by QAL so I did quite a bit of travelling. Still not recovered nor caught up with my paperwork. I could catch up if I stopped reading all the reminiscing and naughtiness going on here. Thinking ….. Guess I’ll never catch up then… ROTFL Laugh Grin

    My one time dimsum luncheon with a friend in Chinatown here in Toronto was my first and last … about 20 years ago.

    I had no idea what I was ordering and no idea what I was putting in my mouth when the plates were set in front of me.

    One dish looked like it had brown hair growing on it.

    When this nightmare was finally over, the waiter took all four corners of the table cloth in his hands, with all of the plates and food inside, pulled it up into one big bunch, and whisked it off to where ever one whisks off a table cloth full of food and dirty dishes.

    ROTFL

    I was a little surprised by this gesture and, in spite of whatever it is that I ate, I was still very hungry when I left that restaurant.

    I went home and ordered a double cheese pizza with extra anchovies.

    Can’t think of many better reasons to miss an Adam concert than being there for your Mom. (understandable if it still smarts a little. Big Frown)
