   Any one else think that we’ll get some new tour dates this week? I can’t believe they would let the tour go on hiatus without a plan for concerts in the UK and elsewhere this fall.

   I think Shosanna hinted at early 2015 as well smalls which might tempt me. Later this year is impossible for me to take off. However the wait for tour news is impeding my travel plans for February/April at the moment. How can I tell family/friends that are asking me to make cruise plans with them that I am waiting for Queenbert tour news? I can’t. I just mumble stuff.

   If I was up last night I would have pointed out that yes…Nkd had tracked down the hotel! Good work!

   Don’t know if Adam would ever have a long distance relationship again. I think right now he’s focusing on his career. Any distractions can be troublesome in ways. Bet he gets tons if advice from mom and dad.

   Funnily enough there was a young man from Perth eating in the restaurant on Friday while I was reading the Perth thread. He had no clue Queenbert was over there. He’s been here over a month and goes home unwillingly next week. Been hanging in South Beach so I guess I can see why he doesn’t want to leave.    My favorite part

   Is he Freddie? No he’s not. He doesn’t have to be and he didn’t try to be. He’s Adam Lambert and he’s a perfect fit. He’s flamboyant, charismatic, deliciously sexy and funny. His voice has to be heard to be believed. Range to burn, rich tone and I believed every word he sang. Apart from Freddie I can think of no one else who could pull off ‘Killer Queen’ draped over a chez lounge with a bottle of Moet in one hand and wearing six inch heels. He has a deep understanding of the theatrical and a deep respect for the music. And above all he has fun.

   This guy really gets it.

    Agree HK fan, that is the best review so far! I loved the bit that glambotgram quoted and I loved this bit at the end. He is the only one so far who picked up on what we said when Adam first came out with the prince’s crown:

    For me the most subtle of gestures came at the end of the show. As the band launched into the expected ‘We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions’ encore out walked Adam in a stunning gold sparkly suit and wearing a crown. Now those who have seen Queen with Freddie will know at this point in the show he would stride out trailing a long ermine cape and wearing a crown. The crown he traditionally brought out was the Queen’s crown, a replica of that worn by the Queen of England and he was the Queen. Now look at Adam. Look closely. The crown he wears is that of a Prince not a Queen. It speaks of respect, of the legacy, perhaps even of the heir to the throne. He may succeed Freddie but will never replace him.

    And he called the show “perfection from beginning to end”.
    He is a musician himself and knows what he is talking about, not some would-be journalist trying to get noticed.

    HK, That is a STELLAR review! Hands down the best. Not sure that a review of Q+AL could even be reviewed and written better. Clearly this reviewer can see the total picture, the tremendous talent he’s witnessed, and the magic of Queen + Adam. I agree, he being a musician provides him a more in-depth & unbiased perspective. You can sense he is in awe of Q+AL, and for good reason. I appreciate how he also assures the Queen purists that they can relax about Freddie, and that his legacy is “in good hands.”. Sharp call, too, on Adam’s crown for a prince and how that corresponds to Freddie’s. Thoroughly enjoyed what he had to say about Adam & Queen’s performances. His acknowledgment of Adam’s approach to all of this and liberation from stigma is keen. Great reviewer. Written exceptionally well.
