By the looks of the Perth vids, BB is having a great time there. He always plays it loose in OZ. I’m so glad Queen gives him the room to be true to himself. And the culture in OZ seems more open and willing to embrace a male pop star who goes for it.
Speaking of OZ, I just watched Metallica cover Stone Cold Crazy. Wowza, I had heard about it, but never watched it.
I remember so well when Adam covered Sandman on Glamnation, for TJR’s birthday. Wowza indeed.

kiwi my son got married this summer and they are saving for a trip to NZ for their honeymoon. He has been mesmerized since he first saw LOTR.

I’ve been to NZ once kiwi… couple of days in Christchurch. then drove down to Nelson for a week to stay with friends, drove from there to Picton, got the boat to Wellington, then spent a few days in Auckland…..beautiful place,

That’s interesting, riskylady. Exactly who I thought “the one” would be. Not the most gorgeous Hollywood type but more the Cheeks vibe. His type of all of them IMO.
Well … if Queen is going to be covered, might as well be with the likes of another legendary & out of this world talented band such as Metallica. Felt good to hear James Hetfield pay homage to Queen. Hammett on the guitar was jaw-dropping.
What must it feel like to Brian & Roger to have inspired such a world-class band… along with many others? Queen has literally helped shape rock (and metal) music for the last 30 years. Has to feel like a tremendous legacy.
This was simply phenomenal. Chills in this performance as they are playing WITH the greats, themselves… and in tribute concert for Freddie. Nice post, mils!
