A “selfie” that I took yesterday just before leaving to go to TLKC‘s home for another wonderful, as always, time together.

love all the riders. I gotta say Dr. Brian May us a man after my own heart. NO HUMMUS OR GREEK FOOD. I am there all the way, never got the hummus love.
If going Regular drinks then it is Classic Coke all the way, but if diet is thrown in there then it is Pepsi Max or diet Pepsi. Someone described fizzy water as tasting like it has crushed aspirin it. ITA I always say it tastes like it has baking soda in it, Diet Coke tastes like that too, to me anyway.
Love all the fruit and veggies on the lists. Very interesting to see what they prefer.

Lurking here, there and everywhere as it turns out. I had invited all the people who weren’t working on Friday afternoon to come to lunch (i.e. Ron and Sleepwalker 1877.) On a whim I called angelowal, who lives in a nearbye city, to see if she could make it on very short notice. She actually called me to give regrets and then showed up 45 minutes later!!!! The little dickens sure knows how to make an entrance.
That spontaneous “too small” exclamation on the TO concert vid is priceless. I wonder if we can get Sleepwalker1877 to share it. It definitely belongs in the archives, under G.
WOW! Such a lot of conversation over the last 24 hours that it took a while to find smalls post, which speaks so beautifully to the feelings we all share about Adam and this community and how much he means to us. Lovely, heartfelt post. Ron is right, it should be bronzed.
Agree with luval on the Red Bull, especially when mixed with booze. The city of Toronto is on the verge of banning the sale of energy drinks for all public (i.e. city-approved) events where a liquor license has been assigned.
There is a growing body of work on the danger of mixing them with booze and the extent to which the labels lie about the sugar and caffeine content.
I understand why Adam would want them before a show. Not a biggie because they are merely bad for you. It’s the mixing that is a problem
I think all I said in answer to smalls post was “great post” but honestly it really says everything most of us feel about this boy/man. I think about this quite a bit at times especially when I’m trying to describe to people why I’m a part of this.

RE: the jobs list, this rider thing is a blessing because it offers up a whole new set of tasks; providing each and every item on the list one-at-a-time. The original jobs list was posted on MJSBigBlog in 2010. I re-posted it a while back on this blog but will have to look for it. Was it before the 2012 QAL shows?
All I know is that Ron and another person named baebae got the top jobs: tending to Adam’s needs in First Class. Baebae has left for decidedly less green pastures (imho) so one of the top spots is open, unless we re-assigned it in 2012.
The list was specific to Wembley, which we had always envisioned for Adam and it was assumed that we would all be on the plane with him. (It was the middle of the night, we were waiting for videos and some of us might have been
.)

Yes, nothing can beat the real deal Israeli hummus. It is so smooth and creamy. Nothing can beat the real deal Israeli falafel and fixings either. I try to make mine at home as smooth as possible, I come pretty close. Yummmmm. Even hubby, a sabra, thinks it is pretty good. But, gotta say, Sabra brand and Trader Joe’s have couple of types that also come close. Anything that is not smooth, is not Israeli style. IMHO.

Okay, I’m taking notes on everyone’s rider requests for the next time I host an ALL party at my house. I’ll have everyone’s food preferences on hand, but probably won’t be able to accommodate rejenny’s request for AFL, at least not at my house.
All this talk about hummus, which I absolutely love, reminds me of cwm’s, adamized’s, and my ride home to Maryland from the Izod concert. I was driving, cwm was reading to us from twitter, and adamized was sitting in the back seat handing us ample supplies of pita chips and hummus in addition to cwm’s special dark chocolate from Oregon to keep us awake on the long drive home. It’s a nice memory. I’m looking forward to the next round of concerts so we can do it all over again.
