As July ends, so does a fantastic series of concerts by Queen and Adam across North America. It will be a summer that many ALLers will never forget! Q+AL take a few weeks break before heading off to Asia and then for concerts Down Under. If the reception there is anything like it was here, Q+AL can expect to get some major loving!

    WOW! Go away for 24 hours and a twitter party happens!!! WITWIAL is solved. Was anyone actually worried? Goodness, he has a lot of energy to put out in the next 2 weeks and the time zone change is a killer. Eat, sleep, drink a lot of water and get into the groove.

    Surprised he missed a chance to meet Psy, though. Talking to us is a much better way for him to spend his time.

    Feeling sad today. My middle son left home to go to the States for uni…or college I think over there..,I’m sure he’ll enjoy it, just feeling a bit empty nestish…even though I still have 3 at home.

    Sending a hug, HKfan. My younger son will leave for law school on Saturday after a lovely summer here at home. Only 90 miles away but unlike his undergrad years, he won’t be coming home for visits or weekends, law school is too engrossing.
    Compared to your loss this is so trivial, but I am still a little bit, as you put it, empty-nestish – you must be feeling it much more, even with two still at home.

    Thanks for the twatter party revisit ulti. It was fun while it lasted but probably best that Adam took it down, whether his mother or his management was behind it.

    I love Adam for his impulsive honesty and his abandon but also appreciate his good general good sense. Looking forward to the Gene Simmons fallout. Maybe Brian’s recent frankness has rubbed off on Adam a bit. Roger is even more outspoken than Brian and he’s been hanging around him a lot, too. It must be hilarious to listen to the tour banter.

    Think that Adam’s One Direction tweet was polite and non-committal. 1D have some very pleasant songs but they appear to be a pretty grotty bunch, personality-wise. Apparently Harry was on his own plane for a while because they don’t get along.

    I don’t see how Harry is all that good-looking. His hair is too long. It makes him look like a young, skinny Julia Childs. At least when it is short he looks like a young Mick Jagger; which is only marginally better.

    So sorry and so sads, HKfan. It is a big family milestone when your first leaves the nest. It seems as though your son was checking out universities only yesterday. Thinking positively, it will be an excuse for you to visit the US over the winter if Adam has one of those individual concerts.

    Thanks TLKC……he isn’t my first to go though…..my daughter left home about 6 years ago now. I suppose we were lucky that he had a couple of gap years so we had him at home longer….

    luval, give em hell! Let’s face it. Country music and pretty blonds are pretty much a safe bet. OTOH, I think Queen & Adam Lambert are pretty much a safe bet as well. But what the heck do I know. NBC considered their Carrie Underwood Sound of Music a big success since so many people watched it. What they couldn’t get through their thick heads that many of us watched out of morbid fascination. Just a different form of rubber necking. I apologize to anyone who liked it.

    BTW, for anyone who is interested Kris Allen’s new album “Horizons” is out. I really am enjoying it. Lots of different genres represented. Beautiful song writing and a very nice production. I really like Kris and hope this album does well for him.
