As July ends, so does a fantastic series of concerts by Queen and Adam across North America. It will be a summer that many ALLers will never forget! Q+AL take a few weeks break before heading off to Asia and then for concerts Down Under. If the reception there is anything like it was here, Q+AL can expect to get some major loving!

    Very sad to hear about Robin Williams. I stayed offline yesterday because of it. Can’t bear the memorials. They are so sad and so full of lost opportunities. He was an amazing, mercurial talent and it is terrible to think that he he was dealing with so much behind the scenes.

    Lauren Bacall’s death is sad, too, but her passing is more in line with nature. Plus she had a heck of a life and spent it with some amazing men.

    May they both rest in peace.

    I kept mils’s list from Chicago as well. There is a little trunk in my attic devoted to ATA – all things Adam – and, tomorrow, everything will be lovingly cached away, in keeping for the next time. Thanks again to mils for the absolutely beautiful bracelet and inspired earrings and also to cher for the beautiful turquoise bracelet.

    Like many ALL-ERS, I am the “proud” possessor of multiple VIP packages (cough – four – cough). What was I thinking? IDK Heh Please note: wash with extreme care. If you have a problem with the decal, Live Nation is accepting email complaints but you shouldn’t be too hopeful about getting anything other than a similarly fragile replacement. With any luck, the feedback will encourage them to choose a new supplier (or to invest a little more in shirts next time around.)

    I think one of the reasons we miss Sauli so much is his blog. In a very discreet way, with virtually no mention of Adam, Sauli managed to keep us in the loop on what Adam was up to almost every day. It was a very fine line to tread and he pulled it off with great tact.

    It’s possible, but unlikely, that anyone who falls into Adam’s future orbit will have the ability to balance access and information in such a graceful way. Perhaps it was because he was necessarily brief; English is his second language. Whatever the reason, he was very good at it and has continued to be respectful and discreet long after the relationship has ended.

    Yech! That Bootsy Bellows guy is so full of himself. He wants to be famous – for what? The whole “this is my life I’m offering you a glimpse into” spiel from The Voice is painfully shallow. Just 20, of course but Troy Sivan is nearly 20 and beats him by an Olympic mile in all departments.

    I watched a few Troy YouTubes when Adam first mentioned him. He’s bright, witty, engaging, thoughtful and funny. He’s been an actor since he was very young. His coolest birthday present is a bottle of champagne from Ian McKellan on his 15th birthday (they were in a play together.) He reminds me of Brad.

    Before anyone freaks out, these videos are over a year old and Troy looks much older now. Also, he has a boyfriend. Adam’s follow is probably professional (UMG label etc.) but Troy is much closer to Adam’s intellectual speed and mindset than the BB guy.

    Psy’s reaction will provide a bit of extra promotion for the Far East leg of the tour, assuming he is still big there. Perhaps HKfan can advise on his Asian popularity. He seems to have slipped away from the centre in North America.

    sorry, can’t help. I have no idea. I don’t buy newspapers or Asian magazines, or watch Asian TV…..I do watch channel V quite a bit, but can’t say I’ve seen him on there recently.

    Ok I am officially BAFFLED and not in a good way! WHERE IS ADAM? Is he sick and trying to get up to par for tomorrow? Is this a strategy to keep all the focus on Queen? Is he holed up in some tattoo parlour getting a full body illustration? Cry
    Did his plane vanish? Pain Cry Was he kidnapped and the evil troll is forcing him to tweet strange music to us? Shock *shudder* Did he bring that yucky snack with him and they are closeted in the hotel in a mindless frenzy after two months of celibate touring????? GAAHHHHH!

    IMHO – it’s fine to differentiate between the Cupcake and the Snack but I’m not ready to call the Snack yucky just by what was shown on TV. I trust in Adam’s choices. After all, he did choose the Cupcake!

    Just wondering…Could Adam be on total voice rest?
    (outside of occasional whispering, sound checks/rehearsals)

    Vocalists will do this on & before tours (usually doctor ordered)…especially if there is any concern about nodules on the cords.

    Total voice rest would be very difficult for Adam, I would think… unless he lays low and stays somewhat isolated.

    Sheesh. I don’t know. I’m thinking risky‘s suggestion of Adam with his snack closeted in a some hotel somewhere sounds the most likely. Laugh
    (you crack me up, riskylady. hee hee)

    A couple of questions I have….

    Has Adam done this before? (sort of “disappeared”, dropped off the radar before a big concert). Thinking perhaps any of you Adam fan vets may be able to answer this one?

    Anyone have any info on what the Korean press is saying about Adam? As much as we’re wondering… The Koreans would be in a frenzy by now, I would think, if they’d not seen or heard from him. (especially if Adam is not being seen with Queen)

    I find him maybe having to be on vocal rest a little terrifying. I mean, he was in LA for about two weeks, going out a lot with friends, so what could happen between Bootsy Bellows and Korea except a cold, flu, even pneumonia???? Please, Universe, make him Ok!
    smalls, don’t remember any instances like this specifically before a concert. And he has fans in Korea, who are quiet too…..it’s all very mystifying.
