I’m another lurker at MJs. I found her blog when I was checking youtube for more info about Adam during season 8. I found this video– http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_zHjeqQ05o (TheBestArts demo reel. Crawl Through the Fire blew me away, but the transition from that song to the Ten Commandments performance got me.)

It took me a while to get the nerve to post and I really enjoyed the Idol tour nights, listening to garbled cell casts trying to make out his hair, whether or not he sang “Woman” or “Baby” in WLL. But I was more than ready to jump to this blog when it started. MJs is no longer fun. I just want to love and appreciate Adam. I don’t want to have to defend him or explain him to people who just don’t get him. I get enough of that around my family.

I always said the day Adam makes a Christmas album I’m out. And I’m still sticking to this. Until I actually hear it…. then I’ll come up with some kind of excuse why this is different. But really, I don’t think he would. He could do a lullaby album for Riff, I would totally buy that!!!

So I went on the fansite for the first time since forever (sorry that I didn’t see the friend requests from peeps here! I wasn’t ignoring or refusing, just absent!) and see that Adam has viewed his fansite almost 400,000 times.

Totally off subject, but I just found out that one of my favourite authors , Maeve Binchy, had passed away. Have you heard about her?
Oksana…. I love Maeve Binchy!! I felt horrible when I heard this. I was actually waiting for her next book. I didn’t realize she was ill. Her epic novels just took me to another place. Even though they were all based on her Irish heritage I loved every character and felt I was Irish myself! A girl I work with named her daughter Maeve because of Maeve Binchy.
What am I going to read now? Fifty Shades of Grey? Almost done… Boring. RIP Maeve.

“Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”. (maybe) “Ave Maria”. “I Wonder As I Wander”. “The Prayer” (not really Christmas-y but it sounds good).
It would be non-traditional songs that are, at the same time, traditionally associated with Christmas and would be very appropriate.
I haven’t approached Adam yet with this idea but, when I do produce this album for him, I hope that you’d consider buying it turquoisewaters.
luval, I think that her last book was already written and will be published in November. Or maybe I misunderstood what was written? Anyway, I loved her books, I loved her short stories, there was so much warmth in them and she was a great storyteller.
Fifty Shades of Grey? I don’t even have intention of reading it. I can tell bad literature even if it’s written in other language. The fact that it is a bestseller doesn’t mean anything.

I don’t think that by performing a song – or a character in a play – that it changes your own identify.
I’d love to see Adam in Sweeney Todd, for example, but I don’t think he would need to become a serial killer to play the part.

Adam would be performing Christmas songs “for your entertainment”.
I don’t think he would have to be baptized before he made the album.

Of course not. But we weren’t comparing them. Still–with all of the Christmas albums out there, I’d pick one that has songs I like sung by a voice I like. It would be very little effort on Adam’s part, and would get him into the mainstream. Maybe it will only be bought by his fans–but his fans gave him the #1 Billboard debut for Trespassing.

I have been there 3 or 4 times. It is beautiful. One of the best places in Mexico. (my favorite)
It is in the Baja Peninsula off of California. Not the scary part of Mexico.

Aliens from Planet Fierce don’t make Christmas albums. A HBIC does not make Christmas albums. I hope.
