There is some negativity on twitter. Fans who are focussed on Idol and Trespassing Tour are having trouble processing the news but 2013 has 12 months in it and both tours are possible, especially when you consider that Queen’s last tour was 30 shows. They would probably cut back on that, based on the last tour’s attendance figures (pretty bad in some US cities.) Plus they’ve already done Moscow and Warsaw and London. Tour could last two months and not interfere with a Trespassing tour at all.
Idol is a whole other ball of wax and who knows?

I’m thinking too that many peeps on twitter are not that familiar with Queen. Although they know some of the songs that are universally played… We are the champions, etc…they are just focusing on Trespassing tour. Both can be done like you said, TLKC. Don’t know about Idol. Bet they will announce after Olympics are over.

TLKC, I really enjoyed the video of Spike, Queen keyboardist – thanks so much for sharing. The more I learn about all the members of Queen, the more impressed I am with them. What a pleasant surprise they are for me – have always loved their music (just a casual fan, never heard anything other than what radio was playing in the 70’s & 80’s), but I am so impressed with their intelligence and professionalism. Very refreshing in today’s popular music environment.
I think Adam is so damn talented that he could (should!) do many kinds of things and music! So I flag for both tours
Plus possible some movie or tv-productions… As long as he doesn’t burn himself out.

P2 “Home” may hit platinum soon and still won’t be played on the radio.
Why? Because of Idol stigma. The only one that is forgiven is Kelly, any single that she puts out will be played instantly at nauseaum. Do you think that Pink’s new single is THAT fantastic? No. But it has no problem with the radioplay. Same goes for Maroon5.
What I’m driving at is that instead of making BTIKM or NCOE the leading singles, Adam could have Trespassing, Shady or Cuckoo (even Running) as a first single, radio would not play it anyway, but at least he would came out with something not so mediocre as the promoted shit.
Of course it is only My Opinion.
And homophobia has nothing to do with that, radio is doing it to ANY Idol.
I spent some time yesterday reading comments by Polish fans on Wroclaw Queenbert videos. It is so typical, 99% of the negative ones are by those who didn’t go to the concert (you know, the purist who wouldn’t lowered themselves to participate in such horrible event – read: too cheap to buy a ticket).
The enthusiastic one are by concert goers, even some of them admitted that they were against Adam before ,but they were really impressed by him afterwards.
I think that Queenbert tour should go on, almost every review is very positive and I’m pretty sure that they would do much better this time!!!
If they were smart, maybe they should choose smaller venues that would sellout instantly, creating buzz and as we all know everyone wants something that is hard to get.

Idol concert threads look like Season 9. Seven comments per thread, the interest is clearly not there….
MJ did everything in her power to discourage Adam fans from posting on her blog, and as someone here mentioned, the most interesting posters disappeared (Moria Polonius, I’m looking at you). Who wants to be banned or have its comments removed most of the time? She allows apparent trolls to post on Adam threads under pretense of “everyone is entitled to its opinion”.My opinion is that Kris is mediocre, Cookie is unable to create interesting music, Scotty is boring, P2 can kill every song if permitted to do so and Durbin…. – but I don’t go to their threads to spill vitriol. This will not make Adam more successful, so I see no reason.

Oksana, I noticed that as well – and sometimes one or two of the 7 comments per thread are comments regarding the lack of comments on the thread (hope that makes sense, lol).
mj has finally killed my interest in visiting her blog. When we started losing knowledgeable, articulate Adam supporters like CindyM and Moria Polonius (and Ron – still smile when I think about your parting comments!!), there was really no one left of interest.

Oksana, I kind of get the feeling that Biebs 15 minutes are about up. One Direction … I just don’t get that one. They’re not even that cute (to this 29-yr old, anyway!).
I just spent 15 hours in a car with 4 teenagers – they NEVER listen to radio. They listen to playlists from their iphone. Heck, even my hubby doesn’t listen to radio – he’s found Pandora and is in heaven.
Last comment for awhile from me: Boy, did P2 strike gold with his new single and the Olympics or what? They are playing the heck out of that song (and I think it’s catchy – I kind of like it although it sounds like a copy of Mumford and Sons). But I agree, I’ve yet to hear it on the radio.
Texas,the only time I was listenig to the radio was when I was driving, and after a while I couldn’t even do that, constant commercial were driving me crazy, so I switched to homemade CD’s.
Now, when I don’t drive anymore radio is dead to me…
My nieces (real 29-ers) are not listening to the radio either, they can’t stand the same songs being played every 15 minutes….

I’m really curious what’s gonna happen with P2. “Home” is not representative of music he wants on his first album, so after all post Olympic enthusiasm will die down I wonder what we’ll gonna get.
Scotty did not have this problem, he was pure country and his album was no surprise. He is going to have X-mas EP for his fans ( shame that Adam is Jewish) and then he is going to have another album of country songs, that sound all the same to me.He might beat sophomore slump, but I doubt.
Jessica will have an album that will do well in Philiphines and since she is not current as not current can be she will flop in US.
Have to admit I am one of the minority that does not like P2’s song. And it’s not just because I’m a crazy Adam fan. I would never buy it.If I didn’t watch Idol I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between him & Kris Allen & Lee Dewyze & every other WGWG out there. And Texas I agree with you about One Direction! Nothing special & I think they’ll be a one hit wonder. I prefer The Wanted.

Also, I agree, there is no reason why a Queen tour and a Tsp tour couldn’t coexist. Doubt that Queen would want a LOT of dates all over, more likely similar to McCartney’s recent tour of a few well-chosen large cities with a week or two in between, and not lasting more than maybe 3 months. Easy for Adam to do something around that.
And MJs? Wow, it’s become the Carrie/Scotty/Kelly roadshow, so boring. Even the numbers threads are starting to look threadbare (pun intended). If Adam isn’t on Idol, I will never ever watch it (didn’t before, watched season 9, didn’t after that, just read about it, and maybe checked out one or two things….).
Miss Chaos, how big is P2 fanbase? I did not follow Cook, so I know he had some hardcore BSC fanbase, but it’s not so big these days.
P2 is cute, but in NY we have such a cuties performing on every street corner. And his ability to make every song urecognizable during his run on AI made me lose any interest I had in his music.

With a potential country judge maybe AI should change its name to American Country Idol? It seems that voting demo comes basically from that area and judging by last 5 winners nobody else has any chance to win.
I know some people that still watch it, but they NEVER bought any album.

On another note, I checked out Trespassing at Target today. They had 4 each of the regular and deluxe albums in with all the other Pop Music…nothing prominently displayed…but at least he was there! Last time I was in our Barnes & Noble, they had 1 of each of the albums. Question is, do they only have 1 each because they sold out or because they haven’t stocked many to begin with?

Turning AI into country is just so wrong, they are probably trying to revise the show since many country people stand behind their country people, ie Carrie, Scotty. They need a person to keep the show current, I dont care if there is country singers, but it needs all kinds, and more pop, thus Adam is their best choice! They NEED him, he doesnt need them. I like country, dont get me wrong, but they dont need to turn it into Nashville Star, which bombed after a year or 2.
I am afraid XFActor is going to beat AI out if they stick with country. At least XF has a couple of current people on the show. MCarey, just how is she current, big mistake. I dont know if I can watch the show anymore. They are making a big mistake. Even tho STyler was just one wording it with That was beautiful, I watched to see what he would bring, even tho it was nothing!!!!

HK Fan, I don’t have a juicer either (although I could probably use one, lol) or a smart phone, but I do have an i-pad, which saved me in London. I remember Marilyn very well, even though I was a child when she was popular and I remember her death and my girlfriend crying uncontrolably about it.
I have a soft spot for MJs, annoying as she is, since hers was the first blog I seriously read or dared to comment on, but lately I go there and there is absolutely nothing of interest to me. Even Adam’s latest thread about the remix only had about 15 comments. huh?
Oh, and I am a scrabble player (my trip to Ireland in a week and a half is for a scrabble tournament) and about 6 of those 30 games of WWF or Scrabble that Cher plays are with me! I’M not crazy about WWF though, the dictionary is crazy and the configuration of the board is lousy. What can I do? I am a Scrabble purist. And I play on my big computer through facebook.
I will be away for the Japan concert so I will have catching up to do when I get home.
I agree about the bleak future of AI… Mariah Carey – I automatically think of an aging mega-diva. I saw her and one of her homes featured on “Cribs” a few years ago. Talk about self-indulgent – I was left with a terrible impression of her after watching. Nick Jonas – really?? He’s even less interesting to me than Mariah. If they top this judge-selection process with someone like Miley, I will never watch again. Brad Paisley would bring some credibility to the show, but I have to admit that I would’ve tuned in for a night or two of Toby Keith – he’s definitely not afraid to put his boot in his mouth! That’s what AI has been missing for the last few years – someone who’s not afraid to offer good critique (not assuming Toby would have “quality” comments, but he would be entertaining, lol). I’m still holding out for Adam, but if not him, Pharrell, Wil.I.Am, Fergie, Dr. Luke …

American Idol–
I never liked Mariah Carey even when she was a relevant artist. Yeah, she had a tremendous range with her voice, but it always felt like “Look at me and what I can do” show-off.
Nick Jonas…I don’t know the Jonas Brothers. But if Idol wants to keep its older fans as well as younger ones, I don’t know he’s what we need. If we are still getting the same ol’ same ol’ on released music for the show, will he know anything that is more than ten years old? Will the audience want to listen to the newer music that all sounds alike and boring?
A country singer…whether it’s Brad Paisley or another one isn’t as bad as it sounds. Just because an artist prefers to sing country doesn’t mean they know nothing about other genres. I don’t think they are trying to turn this into a country show as much as they are trying to get someone who appreciates the genre.
Bottom line is that I’ll give them a chance, but if the critiques are as lame as the last couple years, I see no point in hanging in there for the death throes. At least if they don’t know the songs, they could go to YouTube before the performance to see what the song sounds like to be able to tell if the contestant is karaoke or clever.

Adam’s voice on Christmas songs? Even I love Oh Holy Night. With his voice? Are you even kidding? Gorgeous.
Even if the EP is Trespassing acoustic, I’d buy it. The other acoustic EP was out of this world.
