The live shows and live judging don’t usually start until late Feb. or early March.
Again, I can’t b-quote. Mils, I thought the shows usually start in mid-February as I had posted earlier. You just explained what goes on in January n February. I usually don’t watch until the actual shows start with their Top 12, 24, or whatever number they choose to start the show with.
Hi everyone. Down here in not-sunny-at-all Miami getting Tropical Storm Isaac weather. Very rainy, extremely heavy showers at times, lots of wind. Some people have no power already. Most places closed. Bad driving conditions. Transit closed. Winds up to 44 mph felt up this way.
This idol waiting thing is driving me nuts. Now we have to wait until Sept 22nd!! I do like Keith Urban thank goodness. I can bear his face weekly. I hope..hope..hope to see Adam’s as well but we can only keep our fingers crossed. If it is true, lots of peeps over at u know where are gonna be pissed
Hang on Cher, I am glad it is not a full fledged hurricane. I am watching it closely, My daughter is now in Navarre FL. They are waiting to see if they get an evacuation notice.

I’ll be fine glambotgram thanks. Ooh. Navarre. I believe the storm might strengthen into a hurricane when it hits the Gulf of Mexico so that part is not a great place to be in unless it heads more west and south.
Right now the projection is looking toward New Orleans, Houston, Dallas way.

Hi rs, nice to hear you have a good holiday! But being without Adam access, that’s bad I know, I had my off the grid week in summer… My recommend number one is that watch the official take40 version of Adam’s Marley cover “Is this love”. It’s looovly! The speculation about idol judge is killing us, I can’t wait until September 22, seriously!!!
My day has been even more active than yesterday. Instead of gardening I went to hardware store (!) twice and bought things that I have never bought… I guess next weekend will be constructing
But in the evening I finally had time to relax in front of my lovely present Queen+Adam Kiev DVD! So many many thanks to Jlurksacto who has done a marvellous job spreading the beautiful treasure! 
It was wonderful quality, both sound and picture! I guess euro mail 
was quite a fast swimmer

Happy birthday adamized! How I wish you were at my house. I had a tea party this afternoon with tiny sandwiches, a galette a strawbery salad and various desserts but 24 mini cupcakes never made it out of my fridge and onto a 3-tiered tray. I am looking at them and wondering what to do. If I could, I would put a candle in every one of them and sing you happy birthday.

dcglam, according to the last person who interviewed him, Katie Purvis, Adam will be home tomorrow morning. The thing is, he technically has nothing to do for a while so I am hoping he takes it easy this week and goes out to dinner at least twice so that we can have some papparazzi pics
To those of you in Florida: May you and your friends/loved ones stay safe. I haven’t been through a hurricane, but I’m a midwesterner and have been through a couple tornado scares (but, thankfully, not the real thing). As far as Adam’s “prognosis” goes, I wasn’t previously rooting for the Idol gig (and I’m still not secure in how I think it’s going to play out for his long-term image), but after witnessing how much he seems to want it, I pray that it all goes in his favor, potential long-term ramifications be damned. Truly, I’ve kept going back and forth on the issue, and the whole issue has had my stomach in so much of a knot that I’ve literally stayed away from blogging. I just can’t wait until it’s all resolved one way or the other.
On the same subject but, perhaps, another tangent, I truly do think he already knows his Idol fate. I can’t imagine, no matter how powerful the Idol force may be, that they can put the schedules of industry professionals indefinitely on hold while they make their “decisions.” Whatever Adam’s fate turns out to be, I truly think he’s been apprised of the situation from the get-go. He’s either been pleading ignorance to us to ease our sadness or to allay our fears. There’s no way a corporate entity even as powerful as Idol could leave professionals in the dark for months on end awaiting their decision. No manager or record company would put up with leaving a schedule empty for a month awaiting any decision. He may or may not have the Idol job, but, either way, he knows the scoop and is waiting for the go-ahead to share that scoop with us, IMO.

I agree with you that Adam knows and has known for awhile. I haven’t been involved with any of the Adam/Idol talk here because I have always felt the same as you. When I saw Adam at Fantasy Springs and said he was “deliriously happy” I really felt he knew. Either happy that he got it or happy that he knew he didn’t and could move on.
Am not going to comment one way or another and let whatever happens happen. In my own mind I’m resigned to whatever the decision is. Adam will have a career and I’m along for the ride!

As to why he came back early, maybe there are still interviews happening, maybe there are contracts to sign, maybe he has something totally not on our radar.

If he’s not going to be a judge, why can’t he just say so? Is he helping Idol out by creating suspense? He gets publicity by keeping his name out there, but would he do it just for that? Confused here.
About the only thing that past Idol history shows and is consistent is
a WGWG will win. It looks like the judges are picked so why wait for

If Adam has known all along, then why did he speak up the way he did this week? He would have been silent.
I actually wondered if Adam spoke up this week because his managment had asked Idol for an update and were told to hang on. A good sign but not definitive.
To me this mirrors any other job application where you get to the interview stage. Sometimes the interviewing company moves slowly and they reserve the right to do so. Idol may easily have kept Adam/Nick Jonas/Miley Cyrus on hold while they tried to sign their lynch-pin judges. As in any delayed decision, it is fair for candidates to ask Idol for updates if something comes up in their schedules that might conflict.
Idol doesn’t have to announce anything until just before Hollywood week. Does anyone know when Hollywood week is? Which year did they have guest judges in Hollywood week – Season 9 or 10?
ETA: Luval – my interpretation of his Fantasy Springs euphoria was that he had just had a “lovely”interview with Idol or was looking forward to one the following week. Remember, he got back from UK mid-July and went almost immediately into those 5 West coast shows. Imho, the interview was right after the West coast tour.

Kara Dioguardi announced on 9/3/10 that she was leaving Idol, that was why the announcement of new judges was so late in the month. Ellen had announced her departure 0n 7/29/10.

Hi again everyone. Thanks for the well wishes. Wasn’t as bad as they thought we would get. Unfortunately Isaac will be a category 2 hurricane in a day or two and it won’t be good for those in its path.
Sad news that one of my customers, a young lady with a small daughter was killed in a car accident this morning directly attributed to the bad weather. I wish the best for her daughter and her family. Just terrible to hear. 
I believe if Adam really wasn’t going to be on idol he would have already said so to stop his fans from all this angst. Don’t u? He’s a sneaky devil.
