After a very busy month of July which featured 11 concerts (5 with Queen and 6 solo – including the epic Fantasy Springs event pictured above), August begins with a short period of rest for Adam. However, as he tweeted a couple of days ago, we can expect the third single from Trespassing to be announced sometime early this month. Later in the month, Adam will head to Japan and Australia for album promo and a few concerts as well. We are also anxiously waiting to learn if Adam will be a judge or have some other regular role in the upcoming season of American Idol. In the meantime, enjoy the chat!

    Andy Grammer was on a show recently just before Adam – forget which one.

    I don’t watch tv very much. Unless I know Adam is gonna be on, but I missed Andy Grammer cause I don’t usually tune in til I think Adam will be on. My tv time ranges (over the period of a week) from 0 to maybe 4-5 hours and most of that will be Weather Channel or Nat Geo type shows. I’ve never been much of a tv watcher, always just preferred music and my pets.

    ETA: I think we just play you guys sometimes in playoffs, not our regular schedule.

    luval, well, I was thinking it was regular season, then I thought that it was mostly SEC, so figured it must not have been the regular schedule. But if Tulane is on there, we could have been too.

    I hope our Adam fans in Florida are going to be okay as the weather isn’t looking too good down there. I know eywflyer lives in Key West and works for the National weather bureau. I wonder if he’s home at work or off on one of his trips. Maybe I’ll stop being concerned about Adam and AI possibility and worry about the weather and our blog leader.

    Luval…I was pretty upset reading some of the comments. That is usually a pretty liberal blog. Adam may have been the third photo, but he was ranked #2 out of the group–just ahead of John Lennon and Yoko Ono. Maybe that’s good company to be in.

    JOJOSIE, I’m assuming eywflyer is still on his Alaska trip. Seems that this was the end of the two weeks. He should be traveling home in the middle of the storm. I pray that this storm will not be one of the bad ones.

    Hello y’all, I am still in Alaska, about halfway through my vacation here. We spent the last week mainly seeing Denali National Park, with side trips to Fairbanks and Talkeetna, where we were lucky enough to see Denali itself on a rare clear day.

    Arrived in Seward down on the coast today where we will spend the next several days. Going on a glacier cruise to Kenai Fjords tomorrow.

    My house in Key West is all shuttered and secured thanks to my friends there who took care of it today. Didn’t get recalled to work fortunately. Cat 1 hurricane is honestly not a very big deal in Key West, the long time locals there have generations of experience in dealing with these storms and the infrastructure/housing stock is well prepared to deal with 50-80 mph winds. There will be power outages and trees down etc but shouldn’t be too much serious damage.

    Heard NCOE playing this afternoon in the Seward Safeway of all places!

    Thanks to AL for keeping things up and running here while I’m traveling.
