JJ’s a fine young singer – her music on my iPod – but this music is simply not for her voice. She did her best, looked gorgeous, and give her chops for trying, but, truthfully, this is music for the male voice. With the lack of testosterone, the performance fell flat.

Don’t think JJ’s performance was a disaster, Miss Chaos – think she did well under the circumstances even though, as I’ve said, prefer (by far) a male singer. (And anyone who sings Queen is going to get bashed to some extent.)
WWRY is a strong, defiant statement. If JJ had dressed in “tougher” – more androgynous clothes – think it might have worked somewhat better.
Can this really be true? According to this article, it was a Chick-fil-A franchise owner who was responsible for Adam becoming second on Idol back then… He organized a free voting party against Adam’s victory.

LadyNorthyou probably are not aware because you didn’t follow Idol. The whole voting party, actually many parties all over Arkansas and elsewhere is old news. Adam has let it go and for the most part so have we. We all know he is the winner, after all, where is Kris Allen nowadays?
I think this is coming up again because of the CFA campaign.
glambotgram, I watched the performances back then but I didn’t follow any news around it in US or contestants, so I didn’t know that… I was just very surprised of the final result. It doesn’t matter any more who won or didn’t Idol, but the whole thing just surprises me. That the homophobia is that deep and concerns big sums of money. The same surprise I had concerning this current Chick-Fil-A -thing. Well, better let it be. There are people whose views are hard to change I guess.
LadyNorth, as glambotgram said this voting conspiracy has been around for a while perpetrated by the author of this same article. I had this discussion on twitter last night. First of all this author likes to continue to stir that pot, and secondly if the local owner of the CFA encouraged or sponsored voting parties, I think it’s a stretch to say it was an anti-gay motive against Adam rather than simply supporting the local guy. Kris Allen was living in Conway, Arkansas. This of course is my opinion.

I’m kind of loving the beginnings of a salt and pepper look. I guess we should blame George Clooney (or Taylor Hicks (hah!). Now we all know that the boy doesn’t have naturally black hair so having his roots come in as black is a bit of a miracle IMO. But, he is an alien, so anything is possible. Looks pretty dam stunning in that all black get up. Very different than his dragon look last time he was on the same show. Loved that look as well.

One of my favorite Adam performances was FYE from that morning show with his dragon look. Just stunning. Yes…was wondering about the darker roots too. Maybe it’s just the contrast.

Hi luval! I think it would be great fun if he keeps adding black and blue and other colors as the days go on. It looks better to me as it veers away from the platinum. Ron, don’t think we can blame Sauli. If he couldn’t stop Adam from the Forrest Gump look how could he possibly have stopped him from a new color?

Thanks dcglam. Noticed the vjjays weren’t on stage. Probably will just have the band at the smaller venues. Definitely saw a twinkle in his eye when he said “I think this is just the beginning, there is more to come”. I don’t know about you guys but I want to know already!!!!!!!!!!

even more OT did anyone see the New York news articles about the triathlete who died in the NY Iron man competition at the weekend. So tragic, I know him, not that well, know his wife more, he’s from the same area as me in HK, our kids go to the same school. He has done many triathlons. He’s a big member of the local community here, a huge shock to everyone.
and adamized, he could just be singing Trespassing because thats the title track of the album and has the same name,and thats what he’s over there promoting….but I do think either that or cuckoo will be the next single.

Hi HK fan, that’s the way to show your support and celebrate your anniversary at the same time. I hadn’t heard about the triathlete. What a shock and a loss for his friends and family.
I am hoping for Cuckoo but Trespassing is the title track and should deserve single status. I think all the light side tracks are really fun and catchy in their own ways. I’m just happy that BB gets to release a song that he co-wrote.

I’ve heard of Visage….
Loved that interview luval. He handled that so well, it must be extremely hard to have 3 people speaking a different language at you at the same time, whilst trying to listen to the translator….And that guy in the cream was a bit rough with the pushing….then touching his chest.
I don’t want to see Adam doing a movie right now. I want to see him on Idol and in Queenbert and on a Trespassing tour first. Rockers in films rarely turn out well. Look at Bowie in “Absolute Beginners.” Mick Jagger in “Performance”. It always turns out badly.
Steve Strange is a strange choice. How do we know what they are really saying on that Japanese TV show? Just look at what happened in Japan this weekend. A September project turned into a new job and then it didn’t. Lost in translation.

Dcglam…I agree with you about Steve Strange and TLKC I totally agree with you about adam doing this type of movie or any movie at this time. So many flops.
