The calm after the end of QAL in February didn’t last long – thank the universe – and the roll-out to TOH appears nicely underway. We had the Sunrise/AU interview on 3/18, followed by the MiniMTV one on 3/20, the Hunger Mag major Q&A (with spectacular pics by Rankin) on 3/24, Attitude Mag’s great article (sold-out, of course), ending up with the iHeart Red Carpet appearance. But the big news, of course, was the Ghost Town snippet and the interest it engendered. April looks to be even more interesting, with the single release on the 21st – good times ahead.

Adam Lambert will release his new single “Ghost Town”, which was co-produced by Max Martin, this Tuesday, April 21st at 12 midnight ET. [just after 11:59 PM Monday]

    I want so badly that GT becomes a hit, for Adam’s sake. Good thing is that it seems to get air play also in US Big Smile I was also thinking like some of you, maybe so many order his album right away, it’s not being seen on single statistics? Hoping that when casuals hear the song on the radio, tv, youtube, from friends, it will sell more!

    I don’t think this is true or Shoshanna wouldn’t have told us to order the cd on iTunes.

    A single builds slowly because people have to hear it. Adam’s core fan base isn’t that large. This song has to take off organically. We can’t turn ourselves into 2 million people. Any finagling we do is a drop in the bucket. Our best bet is to Shazam, Spotify and participate in weekly radio polls.

    I have seen people talking about cancelling the CD on adamtopia and other sites. THIS IS A BAD IDEA. Looking at this from an analyst’s POV: if CD cancellations start kicking in, that will be a negative flag for them.

    Sounds like a great interview going on right now with 1043Myfm. Am at work but following twitter.

    -His hair is very ginger…same as DJ
    -Mentions he bought a house in LA, no gates just park & walk in
    -Wants a dog really bad & doesn’t think a little dog in his bag is the look he’s going for.
    -Thought he’d be a crap actor on Glee
    -Sang a line from TOH!!!…there will be more album songs before June
    -Would like a zipline on his property
    -Does 3 sets of pushups and runs in Runyon Canyon 3 times a week.

    TLKC, Logo is a channel on cable. RuPaul’s Drag race is on it. Started off as a “gay” channel but has branched out to be more deversified. (so they say).

    eta: just noticed a couple of posts asking about Logo. Am not surprised because even Adam said at one time “they eat their own” sometimes in the gay community.

    Jailhouse Rock was recorded on April 30, 1957, Maybe there is some sort of anniversary thing planned and Adam will be involved. We know Priscilla likes Adam.

    What a fantastic interview! I love it when they are filmed so we see them talking. Adam looked especially gorgeous. And he sang snippets from GT and TOH! They had such rapport and noticed that Adam, unlike many other interviewees, maintains eye contact. Really, really fun interview.

    It wasn’t too bad for me but the video was buffering a bit. LOVE the eye-contact comments by Valentine. Great interview overall. Love the bit about the wire line running over people’s houses. Sounds like Adam might try it. Yeeks!

    I did a zip line over the rain forest in Costa Rica! That was my “I did it!” trip. I loved when he talked about Glee and telling everyone how nervous he was. Wouldn’t it be great if Ryan Murphy got the message and casts Adam in another of his shows?

    On a different note, next week’s Idol theme is Arena hits. Seems perfect for Adam, considering his recent arena tour with Queen. They haven’t said anything, so I assume that he won’t be on. Maybe they are keeping him for the finale.

    I love that Valentine asked Adam “How would you feel if people were zipping over your backyard?” Methinks we would all find the courage to zip if that were the case.

    At old house now, still clearing out books and kitchen. Anyone want a few hundred books lol?? (Have promised them to our main library, no worries!)

    I read somewhere that, much like looped play on YouTube, looping on Spotify doesn’t count every play Frown. You have to hit replay and do the work.
    I think a lot of people are enjoying the lyric video (I sure am when I have time) instead of just listening. Can’t wait to see Adam move to this song – love him dancing, spectacular!

    Great interview above! (Was hoping for the push-up-off.) And still have Ryan to look forward to. He always gets so discombobulated with Adam Grin !
    ETA: All Adam’s lyric vids do quite well, most fan-made.

    That is one awesome interview. I clicked on play, then pause and let it just sit for about 15 minutes while I did other things, then it just played straight through.

    I kept getting mesmerized by lip freckles. Kiss

    Wonderful Valentine interview .. did a similar thing like glambotgram

    Seems that the interviewer is impressed by Adam’s speaking skills because he mentioned Adam’s eye contact and also asked Adam how to handle nervousness before giving a performance or speech…

    As a Gleek… it feels so good that Adam made a shout out to one of the Glee actors, Chris Colfer… – who just happens to be my favorite TV actor at the moment… – and whose character is the nemesis of Adam’s character…

    ultimathule In the interview with Valentine he mentioned he was letting the ginger come through some. Valentine congratulated him with his great hear and they discussed being a ginger or red head somewhat. Adam even mentioned South Park dissing on gingers.

    Cait Every listen counts as long as it is not playing in a loop or on repeat.

    You have to go pack and hit play each time. I think they said each 100 listens counts as a single purchase.

    I wrote to myplaydirect who is handling the AdamOfficial album sales asking whether the CD that they are selling is the regular or deluxe version. I also suggested that they add the track listing so people know which one is being offered. I got an email just now saying that the CD for pre-order is the Deluxe version. And I noticed on the site that they now have the track listing too! Wink
    Shipping to Canada is $11 though so I’ll probably order from Amazon.ca anyway. The Deluxe CD is also selling for less on Amazon than AO too – well at least the explicit version. It’s $4 less than the “damn” one! Heh
