The calm after the end of QAL in February didn’t last long – thank the universe – and the roll-out to TOH appears nicely underway. We had the Sunrise/AU interview on 3/18, followed by the MiniMTV one on 3/20, the Hunger Mag major Q&A (with spectacular pics by Rankin) on 3/24, Attitude Mag’s great article (sold-out, of course), ending up with the iHeart Red Carpet appearance. But the big news, of course, was the Ghost Town snippet and the interest it engendered. April looks to be even more interesting, with the single release on the 21st – good times ahead.

Adam Lambert will release his new single “Ghost Town”, which was co-produced by Max Martin, this Tuesday, April 21st at 12 midnight ET. [just after 11:59 PM Monday]

    I talked with mils earlier and she mentioned that she may be offline until sometime next week. Hoping she’s able to pop in before then!

    I did the same. Don’t know, but I would think they both count, however they are charting separately on iTunes.

    LadyNorth, from the price difference between it and Amazon, it looks like the fan package cd is the regular one, although it is strange that there wouldn’t be a choice.

    I just went to iTunes to order the album and there are problems again. I won’t order a cd until I see if I can buy one here. It takes forever to send it and the shipping charges are very high.

    That amazon price is really high showing at $20.98 for deluxe version.

    Itunes is $11.99 and AO at $14.99, in US$.

    I would think the AO is deluxe but you would think they would specify what you are getting.
    Maybe more info will be added.
    I pre-ordered a package, couldn’t help it!

    The delux amazon price is high but it is a hard copy (unlike i-tunes).The digital delux download is cheaper $11.49. We can’t do a digital download from amazon here in NZ. Amazon may well drop that CD price before the release date,and they always pass any price drop on as they don’t charge until mailing.

    I could sit here all day reading about GT and listening, but I really must get on with my day. Tonight is the beginning of our Memorial Day and tomorrow evening begins Independence Day.

    Well I’m up and I bought the single on iTunes. Going to buy the deluxe package for $62.99, which I am sure includes the deluxe cd, ‘cos it’s right in the title.

    To those of you who purchased the deluxe package, what did you put for your fan name? It gives you a “no thanks” option but maybe we can put our online names?

    It might, ulti, since the two songs will have different sku numbers, but I’m not sure.

    Multiple purchases of the same item/sku count as sales but they aren’t counted by radio. Radio specifically looks at how many people buy an item, rather than how many items were bought. It is called basket analysis.

    iTunes and Amazon definitely report this way. You can see it in their recommendations: “Other people who bought this cd also bought….”

    I am not 100% sure what Billboard does but I was told by one fan that they use basket analysis, too.

    If you are thinking of buying multiples to drive up Adam’s numbers then you should buy them one at a time if you intend to drive up his radio/listening numbers. (A purchase will always count as a sale but it will not count for radio.)

    I want to pre-purchase a CD on Amazon Canada but they don’t seem to have it. This happened last time as well.

    Amazon Canada also listed the CD twice last time, at different prices, without indicating which was deluxe or not. I actually contacted them about it and got a ridiculous answer, In the end I bought the more expensive version and the deluxe was shipped. ONLY FOR ADAM would I put up with that kind of service.

    I love GT even more this morning after watching the lyrics video. Last night I was concentrating on his voice and the sound, but the lyrics are very cool too, and the visuals on the video are great. Sadly, I have to go to work now. I’ll have to save my ordering for tonight, but I’ll have a nice little tune on constant replay in my head to keep me going until I get home.

    I saw that in Amazon UK there was only regular CD for pre-sale, no deluxe – except as MP3. That has to be confusing…

    TOH getting very good pre-sales on iTunes around Europe and also elsewhere. I’ve seen tweets about #1 in Finland and Sweden, #3 in Germany, NZ #3…

    Finnish mainstream radio station wrote a very nice article about Adam, single comes tomorrow, summarized all his earlier achievements.

    What kind of pop songs contain words like “disaffected”? He wants to break out big into radio play but isn’t willing to compromise his intelligence or dumb down to the lowest common denominator. Good for him!

    The more I think about it, the more I think that buying both versions of the song (explicit and “clean”) will count as 2 listeners.

    rs exactly! I was up pretty much all night too nervous/excited about GT to sleep. I have to say it keeps growing and growing on me each time I hear it. Love the acoustic parts and the dark layering. It will be very interesting to see how GT is performed live. I can’t envision it yet.

    The directions regarding itune ordering are very confusing. Though I knew the rules but then I swear I saw a direct email from Shoshanna saying the quote above. CRAP! Oh well, I have already ordered multiple versions and am happy to say I got a “fuck” and a “damn”

    Feck………(thats Irish for the F word)…..have just been trying to order the single off itunes…..and I can’t its not available!!!! the picture and Ghost town wording is on there under hot new tracks, but says only album available, but I couldn’t seem to pre order that either…
    And I haven’t been able to convert from youtube, I think WB must have done something to make that not possible, have never been able to convert Taylor Swifts official videos either…
