The calm after the end of QAL in February didn’t last long – thank the universe – and the roll-out to TOH appears nicely underway. We had the Sunrise/AU interview on 3/18, followed by the MiniMTV one on 3/20, the Hunger Mag major Q&A (with spectacular pics by Rankin) on 3/24, Attitude Mag’s great article (sold-out, of course), ending up with the iHeart Red Carpet appearance. But the big news, of course, was the Ghost Town snippet and the interest it engendered. April looks to be even more interesting, with the single release on the 21st – good times ahead.

Adam Lambert will release his new single “Ghost Town”, which was co-produced by Max Martin, this Tuesday, April 21st at 12 midnight ET. [just after 11:59 PM Monday]

    Thanks for the heads up Cait. I checked my email and Newsstand had sent me one, too. Placed my order for Notion Magazine and expect to get the Adam cover or a refund. With any luck, we are ordering early enough to get the right cover.

    That said, I still haven’t received my Attitude Magazine from Newsstand or Magazine Café.

    I really hope that WB has some tv appearances lined up for next week to promote his single. If they don’t, then I don’t see that they are doing anything any different than RCA did! Does anyone know if it is being released to radio and I-Tunes on the 21st? I’ll tell you what, if radio doesn’t play Adam’s music and they continue to play SS, that is really going to piss me off! From what I understand and I could be wrong, but they go off stats of what a certain demographic wants to hear. I never heard of SS until they played him on radio. I find it hard to beleive that a young demographic would want to hear him! He is just ok to me. I find all his music to sound the same. I find him to be very whiney sounding. There is no way in hell I could sit through a 2 hour concert listening to him! Ok, well I am through ranting!!! I just want so much for Adam to hit it very big with this single and the album. He so desearves it!

    Rhythm crossover…a mish-mash of different types of music. I think of Wake Me Up as rhythm crossover…folk-ish with EDM.

    There are a couple of people on twitter that are “furious” about more Queen dates. I say …get over it… Adam can do everything. Hate that they’ll be performing so far away but so happy for all of them. Time will tell with his new album. I hope that it’s huge!

    The chance to play again with one of the most amazing groups in music history to me is something that can’t be passed up. Brian & Roger won’t be around forever. Money money too! Just my opinion!!

    We always said they would play South America. This is no surprise. It’s all good. It’s all win win. More streams for us. More vids for us. South American Glamberts get a chance to ogle our guy. Good for them. Yahoo for them. Bravo for them. It’s only 3 shows so far, all in one week. Hopefully, not an interference with the album at all.

    IMHO.

    On another subject, Stones sold out here in 7 minutes flat yesterday. While I was at work. Stubhub has seats from 175 bucks to 10 grand. Guess I’m not going….

    I have been trying very hard to ignore the hype and not get my hopes up too high. But I’m losing the battle. Now I just want this song to be massive. Not just successful, but a great song that I can really get into. (No pressure, Adam! Razz ) Less than a week to go!!! Dance Clap Dance
    And I really don’t see the negative of more Queen dates. Being busy is a good thing for a performer. Much better to answer the question of “what has he been doing lately” with “singing for Queen” than with “nothing much”. He’ll make time for his own stuff when the time comes.

    So, my question remains this:

    Do the DJ’s who have been heaping praise on the single have any clout whatsoever in what gets on air? It seems to me that of all the lessons I’ve learned about radio since becoming a fan of the man is that the DJ’s have no power in airplay. It’s all corporate controlled on a national level. Clear Channel etc.

    So, to me, all the hype by DJ’s is falling on deaf ears here. Hype by exec’s, now that’s a different story.
