The calm after the end of QAL in February didn’t last long – thank the universe – and the roll-out to TOH appears nicely underway. We had the Sunrise/AU interview on 3/18, followed by the MiniMTV one on 3/20, the Hunger Mag major Q&A (with spectacular pics by Rankin) on 3/24, Attitude Mag’s great article (sold-out, of course), ending up with the iHeart Red Carpet appearance. But the big news, of course, was the Ghost Town snippet and the interest it engendered. April looks to be even more interesting, with the single release on the 21st – good times ahead.

Adam Lambert will release his new single “Ghost Town”, which was co-produced by Max Martin, this Tuesday, April 21st at 12 midnight ET. [just after 11:59 PM Monday]

    Last time around, a fan from the Washington DC area leaked 4 songs through Soundcloud: Trespassing, Cuckoo, Naked Love and Never Close Our Eyes.

    Didn’t Adam’s team release those snippets?
    He referred to them in the radio promo tour saying something like, we put out these snippets and y’all really liked this one…

    I don’t know, I’m asking. I had assumed that’s how they came about going by what he said. But I don’t think it had any negative effect on sales. They were 30 sec snippets, and I was all over them!

    They weren’t snippets, they were the whole songs and they were released just as BTIKM was entering the charts. They were posted by a fan from Washington DC. It was long before the CD was released.

    Wow! I totally missed that!
    I remember about that time he was in Europe doing the showcases singing songs from the album and we got a few ninja cam listens to Trespassing, Cuckoo and some others. Then he was in DC and played some tracks at a club and for some peeps that drove him back to his hotel. Times have changed!

    I am very excited about the release of new music and all of the goodies we’ve gotten over the past few weeks. What worries me is that most of it originates over seas. When are some US publications going to jump on board? Is Adam going to be on any TV shows daytime or nighttime? I know that the goal is to be an international star but what about North America? Do you ladies and gentlemen think that there will be a huge onslaught as soon as the single drops? I guess I want him to succeed so much that the worry wart comes out big time. I’m just having a hard time because I want so much for Adam yet not quite sure that America is as liberal and accepting as I once thought. Thanks for listening to my ramblings. I don’t post much but I’m always here reading and fretting and being proud of our boy all at once.

    Understand, apal123 – maybe he’s our “backdoor” man – if he makes it big in the UK, the USA can’t be far behind – wouldn’t be surprised if this is what his people are doing – he’s actually more a worldwide performer with fans all over the globe – some really surprising places –

    Is Ghost Town going to be exclusive to Tidal? I hope not. Adam is a mid-range artist, not a super-popular one. Spotify is free and that’s the only kind of streaming I am doing.

The other component is a comment that Adam made at the European Awards show – most of the hot new singers are coming out of the UK so they want Adam to hit big over there first. Americans don’t like to be second so if he starts off with a bang across the pond, the thought is that USA will claim him as their own very quickly!! Hoping it all plays out that way!! If the song is as amazing as everyone is saying, I think it will!
